"Abnormal?" Charlotte frowned at Kevin a little; sure, he was a little slow sometimes, but that was certainly nothing abnormal for a boy his age. Or even boys twice his age. The frown deepened. "Of course not; who's saying you are? Especially around here."

Her eyes widened a little at that last emphasis. One of Kevin's coworkers was an alien emperor from space, for crying out loud. What did Kevin have to worry about with abnormal?
