Some might have said that Isabelle had been training for two in her gym session this morning. She herself would rather have claimed boredom as the reason, rather than anything to do with Alec still being stuck in feline form. And anyway, Hodge had been urging her to keep up the training even here, so that was what she was doing.

Not at this moment, though. A pumpkin spice coffee and a giant muffin weren't really training, they were just a post-class snack that she thought she'd earned with her training and her puzzle solving. And side-eyeing the Halloween decorations in a judgey fashion was just entertainment, even if the barista didn't seem to be pleased by her declaring his plastic skeleton unconvincing. Halloween wasn't really her kind of holiday. The idea of going to a party for it seemed just weird so she was already fashioning other plans for tomorrow night while she watched the street outside from her table by the window.

All the pumpkin stuff in food and beverages, though? Those could stay.
