Jay almost bypassed the name tag table entirely. After all, he was here to see one person (and one dog), and said person already knew his name.

But then he saw nearly everyone else was wearing name tags, and even though he thought they were kinda goofy, he also didn’t want to be the odd one out.

Scanning the name tags laid out on the table, he didn’t see a ‘Jay’ but there was a ‘Jaye’.

“Close enough,” he decided, picking up a marker to cross out the ‘e’ and then slapping it on his chest. Yeah, he could have just written his own name tag using one of the blank ones, but that genuinely did not occur to him.
