Caritas, Sunday

First thing Anders did when he got to work tonight was stake out a bottle of booze all for himself.

Well, no, okay, that was the third thing. The first thing was to duck the olive Tino chucked at him. "I'm gonna assume that one was more of a 'I'm glad you're still alive and not statue-disappeared' shot, but just this once, okay?" he said as he did the second thing, which was to put up a sign on the bar:

Free Booze for People Who Got Back and Blinkers and Rescue Mission-y People!

Jolee might kill him for this, but he figured they deserved it.

And then -- and then he staked out a bottle of ambrosia all for himself.

[OOC: I'm around, but mod Tino for speedy service if you just want to indulge in some post-BDE therapy. Also, pretend all three categories were on the sign the whole time.]

"Oh, I'm a Frog." Robin told him. "Pleased to meet you G'Kar."

Okaay. As far as G'Kar knew, Earth amphibians did not walk or talk. But this is Fandom. Could be he was from an alternate Earth where animals were just as intelligent as humans. and played banjos, pianos, drums, danced on broadway and did stunt acts with chickens. :DDD

He spied the strange instrument Robin carried. "What is that?" he asked curiously.

"Oh this?" Robin took the banjo out of it's case. "It's called a banjo. They're normally much bigger than this, but this one was made for me."

He nodded; made sense to him. "What kind of music do you play on that? I've only heard a few types of Earth music."

"It's commonly used to play a style called Bluegrass." Robin said. "Or Country. I've played a few rock and roll tunes on it too. It sounds like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wfdgY5ZYDk)."

"Interesting. Most upbeat."

"Are you a student here? Or a member of the town?"

"I'm a student. My first year actually."

"I am new here as well. How are you liking Fandom?" aside from creepy statues

"Oh I love it!" he bounced. "Aside from the invasions and stuff of course."

"Agreed. I much like it here as well."

"What brought you here initially?"

"I believe it was a strange storm. I was traveling through space, when I came upon a strange spatial distortion and in the next moment, I was here." He left out the part about near-crashing on the island.

"And you? Do you arrive by some strange means of fate as well?"

"Hmm, no I meant to come here. My uncle Kermit found out about the school, and he suggested I go here. My parents and I agreed, and here I am."

"Your uncle (http://lttledvl.livejournal.com/103828.html) eh? Sounds like a nice man."

Hee! "Oh he's great!" Robin said, always ready to praise and brag about his Uncle. "He's the one who really got the Muppets into the mainstream."

Re: The Bar

[identity profile] gkar-lastkhari.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Muppets? I am not familiar with that term." lol

Re: The Bar

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Well where I come from Muppets are kind of an evolutionary offshoot of, pretty much everything."

Re: The Bar

[identity profile] gkar-lastkhari.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Fascinating. Are there different species of Muppets or do they all appear as you?"

Re: The Bar

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-03-19 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh there's all sorts of Muppets. My Uncle's best friend is a Bear, and his girlfriend is a pig. There's Human Muppets, and even Muppet Rocks, trees, furniture, and fruit and vegetables."
