Atlas Gym | Friday

John was almost surprised to see the gym still standing without him actually going there for a full week. Mainly because without constant supervision, someone would've blown up his last job.

And look how today John actually had himself a workout that didn't involve running all over the island and hanging out at the beach. This is what happened on rainy days, yes. The humidity did scary things to his already insane hair.

After a chat with Rodney on the treadmill and hearing even that guy couldn't get his hands on any Ancient tech, John decided the climbing wall would be his happy place.

The weather had changed Jaina's routine, too, which meant that she was just going to have to keep her workout inside today. So she headed into the gym, stopping at the climbing wall and advising, "Don't fall."

"I've never seen it, that I remember," she said, leaning against the wall out of his way in order to watch. "Nice to know I can still learn new things here, like that you had hidden skills."

"To this very day," she agreed. Been a while since she'd said that. "Maybe that should start worrying me."

It wouldn't. At least not till later when she'd stopped congratulating herself on only minimally checking him out.

"Maybe," Jaina admitted after a pause. There were a couple surprises she wished hadn't been surprises. "But it was never boring. That seemed more important."

Jaina moved herself away from the mall to make sure she wasn't anywhere in his path on the way down. She'd climbed walls like this before, she knew how it went. "I assume it'll be quicker," she replied.

The rappelling part was half the fun of the experience and John bounced down the wall like a pro before unclipping himself from the line. "Much," he told her when he was done.

Jaina grinned, because that had been so perfectly set up, and noted, "That part might have made it look like you've done this before. Once or twice, at least."
