Fuck this shit, Loki wasn't even going to come out of his apartment today if he could help it. Instead, he'd set up a bell at the front desk that people could ring if they really fucking needed him. Loki hoped no one needed him because he planned on staying in and watching television all day fucking day until this feeling went away.

He fucking hated being an angel on this island sometimes.

"No, we do but it's not like I really give a damn," he said and shrugged. "It goes away. And my shower's fucking awesome. It's big."

"Bigger than mine?" Serious jealousy coming.

"Everything of mine is better than yours," Loki said confidently. "Benefits of being the man in charge. Feel free to grovel, though."

John smiled in return. "Why grovel? I'm trained at breaking and entering."

Loki resisted the urge to try and smack John with one of his wings.

Okay, no he didn't. He actually tried to do that.

John had never been hit by a wing before. He certainly didn't approve of the way it ruffled his hair. "Hey now, no beating me!"

"And what are you gonna do about it?" Loki asked, smirking. "Whine?"

"Or beat you back," John suggested. That shouldn't sound dirty, and yet.

"You'd lose," Loki said simply, shrugging. "You'd lose and you'd regret even trying."

"Regret? I make it a point to avoid regretting anything I try."

"You're a brave little human, aren't you?" Loki remarked, amused. "That never fails to surprise me. Humans are hardy."

"You could say that. I like to think I'm ready for anything that gets thrown my way, be it ancient or angelic." And he thought he was funny, too.

"That sounds like a challenge," Loki said, amused. "Are you challenging me?"

John stepped a little closer. "In my experience, things sound a way for a reason."

"And what makes you think I'd accept your challenge?" Loki asked, raising an eyebrow. "Boredom?"

"Well, I could just go back to ringing your bell for entertainment," John suggested.

"You do that and I'll shove it so far up your ass, you'll be ringing every time you open your goddamn mouth," Loki said, smirking.

"Promises, promises," John said, laughing just a little.

"You're a kinky little shit, aren't you?" Loki gave his wings another flap before finally folding them and making them magically disappear.

Or maybe it was angelically. He didn't know.

"What's your point?" John asked before realizing the awesome wings were gone and frowning a bit.

"Who says I had a point?" Loki asked, leaning against the desk. "Maybe I'm just making an observation. You are kinky. I'm sure you wanna show me how much."

"Say I did," he replied, taking in that rather attractive lean. "Would the wings come back?"

"I'm sure I could make that happen," Loki said, nodding. "I've got the power, yeah."

"Maybe we can see if you don't hate this week as much after." It was good to have goals.

Loki thought about it for a minute and then shrugged. "Sure, why the fuck not? It could be fun."
