Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday, 11/23.
Ever see a giant red sharkman trying to wrangle a bunch of cats and dogs and ferrets and iguanas and gerbils around a table with a variety of pet food spread about like a smorgasbord with little cutouts of turkeys and cornucopias?
Well, if you came into Furnado that day, that was exactly what you'd see. Sidon didn't know much about Thanksgiving, but he did know that it was today, and it was about having a meal and being thankful with people you cared about, and since his job was literally caring for these animals, it seems right in his fish brain to have a pet Thanksgiving at the shelter today.
It was no surprise to him that the fish in their tanks were the easiest to get on board with this, since they were in confined containers and had to stay where Sidon put them. The other critters were a bit more difficult to maintain, and, eventually, after a lot of failed attempts to institute order, he just let chaos reign and submitted himself to the idea that he was going to be doing a lot of cleaning and reorganizing toward the end of his shift.
The animals seemed happy, though, and seemed to be enjoying themselves, so he just went along with it and had fun with them, and eventually they just wore themselves out into the traditional Turkey Day Food Coma, giving him the chance to take them all back to their places and clean up after them.
Furnado is open!
