"I'll sing you one sometime," Seivarden said. "I know a few, I promise."

She added:

"But not in public."

"I liked that song," Seivarden said when it ended. She did, although half of it was about sitting close, listening and watching Lucifer play.

She reached for her drink.

"I should show you a Radchaai entertainment some time," Seivarden said. "There are usually a few songs in them that get really popular."

"Hopefully it would be possible to watch them at your place," Seivarden said.

She had a basement apartment.

"I'll suggest something."

She added, after a brief pause: "I don't think you would like watching it at my place. You know, the cat."

Also, basement apartmentSh had been raised to be a snob after all.

"My place... I just took it over from someone else."

Quickly latching on to the new subject that had showed up, she continued: "Oh? Whose child?"

"I'm quite sure she didn't shed white fur. What was the kid like?"

Lucifer didn't come across like someone who liked kids, but as he was often evasive about details about his life that didn't involve his family being terrible, Seivarden was curious.

"That sounds like a kid," Seivarden said with a grin. "That's what makes you love them."

She added: "Anyway, your place is a lot more comfortable. Do you know if you get entertainments from other universes?"

"Not really," Seivarden said. "Usually you just get anything you want through your implants, depending on where you are, or to some kind of screen if you want to watch it together."

She added: "I have Netflix too."

"Most of it is terrible," Seivarden said. 'Although it's a good way to learn about this planet, I suppose."

"You mean Radchaai entertainments? I like historical dramas if they stick more to the drama than to the history. I've been watching a lot of those lately though, Amaya likes the space battles, and wants to fast forward through everything else."

She took a sip from her drink. "Sometimes when I'm feeling homesick I watch a romantic comedy. I like romantic dramas too, but they make me cry."

"Here? I have a TV."

It sounded like such a nice idea, just watching something together, commenting on it, drinking something, a bit like she did with Amaya, and yet quite different, because Lucifer and Amaya were quite different.

For one thing, Lucifer would probably accept cuddling. And drugs.

"I like that plan," Seivarden said, grinning, just briefly slipping an arm around Lucifer's waist.

"And then you'll have a very good opportunity to use the breakfast tea set."
