Midsummer Festival - The Beach, Saturday Evening

Sure it was a week late. And sure it wasn't even a traditional Midsummer festival because there weren't any games or people selling fried foods or screaming eyeballs in the sky.

But Magnus was pretty darn proud of what had been tossed together for a fun costume party on the beach.

With a big, mildly terrifying wicker bear waiting to be set on fire because something something Midsommar. He wasn't sure of the details because scary movies weren't his jam.

Either way, it would be good, clean fun!

Danny's immediate reaction was to object to the very notion of his little girl dating anyone ever. "Even here, I think people would have an issue with any renters just disappearing on them."

"Honestly? I'm pretty sure it happens all the time. Octavia's old apartment has been empty and pretty much untouched for more than a month now."

Duke was all set to pay the rent on it if anyone ever actually asked him for any. Not that Octavia seemed to have any plans to ever go back again, after her little smash-fest.

It was possible that Danny would become the business owner if he went over to that apartment building. So. That was a thing.

He still looked dubious about this. "It's just a place to sleep."

Nevermind how he'd be able to relax if he had his own space. Also his own kitchen. Because he was a big ol' Italian grandma deep down inside.
