It had been a very busy day for Summer! But it had been a good kind of busy, between prepping her jello shots for tonight and also doing her best to turn Goose's sad, sad apartment into a half-way decent little romantic setting for his whole ~daaa`~aaaate~ with Ignis on limited timing and planning. She thought she did a pretty good job, of course, but she supposed she'd have to wait and see what kind of gossip she could scrounge up about it tomorrow to find out how it all really worked out!

So now, she could just focus on slinging drinks and wondering if she should be worried or grateful that Tino wasn't spending his time doing something ridiculous to the back room and instead was spending an awful lot of time on his phone. In a way that made Summer feel like she would definitely pay good money to find out what he was searching for while simultaneously wishing she never, ever had to know.

"Is that a whole..." Summer squinted a little as she tried to parse out various bits and pieces of details from here and there, "...different versions thing? Or something else?"

"The different versions thing" Kurt said with a slight nod. "I know a younger version of Kitty back at the Academy." He had also shamelessly flirted with her for a while too. "And this version of Kitty on the island knows a different and older adult version of me."

"So sounds like," Summer nodded a little, "different dimension, one a little ahead in the timeline, which, you know, different dimensions is awkward enough, but when you throw in the time thing..." She shook her head. "Let's just say, I definitely get why Grampa Rick insists on never dealing with, quote, 'time travel shit.' Did you and your version of Kitty get along at least, though?"

"Yeah we were pretty good classmates" Kurt admitted though he went a little shy in tone and had he been anything but covered in dark blue fur one might have caught a glimpse of a slight flush as he continued. "The flirting was a bit one-sided so... probably a good thing this version of Kitty doesn't recall any of that." because he was painfully awkward with things like that, even on the best of days.

"Ahhh," said Summer, now with a knowing nod and a little bit of a smirk, and almost a temptation to throw in a wink, but they were literally talking about awkwardness with teachers here, she didn't need to go make it worse, "flirting, huh? Yeah, I can see why that might be a little on the weird side."

"Yeah..... never been much good with girls."

In his defense though, his parents had never been too forthcoming with information on that particular topic. And right now his only real point of reference for it was from Scot and Logan, so yeah....

"Well," Summer offered encouragingly, "now's your chance. The male-to-female ratio at this school definitely skews in your favor!"

Even if having, like, half a dozen male students or so felt like an influx these days...

"You're just starting out, too, you've got plenty of time to figure that stuff out."
