Homecoming 2022, Community Center, Friday Evening

Homecoming in November meant the community center was decked out in harvest-themed decorations for this evening's festivities. There were pumpkins that had somehow survived un-carved after Halloween, baskets of glittery vegetables (not for eating, please), decorative hay bales, and... a disco ball?

It's a dance, some things get dug out of the decoration closet no matter what the theme might be.

The food table was full and the drinks were un-spiked for the moment, so it was time for everyone to get their dance on!

"Hey, Guillermo!" Kurt said when he caught sight of his roomie. Though they were roommates he had been seeing less of Guillermo with him hanging out with Graham more often. So Kurt was glad he was there. "Glad you made it! Quite impressive isn't it? I've never been to a homecoming before" he admitted.

“Kurt hey,” Guillermo smiled, feeling a little bad since it had been a while he had spoken to Kurt, even before he had been a bay for a week, “thank you, I never went to homecoming at my last school,” he told him, “so this should be a lot of fun, thru did a great job with it,” he added.

“I’m definitely excited about the snacks,” Guillermo grinned, especially because he hadn’t been cooking for the last couple of days, which he really needed to get back to that, “I never really paid much attention to the dances at my old school,” he paused, “how have you been Kurt? It’s been a while since we’ve actually talked hasn’t it?”

"Yeah seems classes and stuff have been pulling us apart lately. We will have to try and catch up soon outside of the fight class" Kurt said with a grin. "It's been going well though. Trying to decide what to do during the holiday break. I kinda want to go home for a little while at least, but I don't want to miss out on anything here either, ya know?"

“Absolutely,” Guillermo nodded, “Being a bat for the past week definitely didn’t help with that,” Guillermo admitted, “I think it took a couple of days to get back to a normal sleeping cycle,”

He nodded, “I know what you mean, I don’t know whether to go home for Thanksgiving, it’s been so long since I’ve seen my family at home,” he added, “it’d be nice to go back to New York for the break,”

"And I'm sure there will be stuff going on around here before and after so, even if we missed out on some things, there would still be a lot to see and do I would think" Kurt offered.

"But back to the whole bat thing! How was it? Do you remember a lot? Things were kinda fuzzy for me when I was a sugar glider really..."

“I remember some of it,” Guillermo told him as he tried to think what being a bat had been like, “I remember thinking flying was a lot of fun and going to class and radio with Graham but I think during the day I was mostly sleeping,” he considered.
