Homecoming 2022, Community Center, Friday Evening
Homecoming in November meant the community center was decked out in harvest-themed decorations for this evening's festivities. There were pumpkins that had somehow survived un-carved after Halloween, baskets of glittery vegetables (not for eating, please), decorative hay bales, and... a disco ball?
It's a dance, some things get dug out of the decoration closet no matter what the theme might be.
The food table was full and the drinks were un-spiked for the moment, so it was time for everyone to get their dance on!

Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
"And I'm sure there's time for multiple dance opportunities. And there are definitely no laws about not dancing with more than one person."
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
"And trust me," she said, "this dress has way less to be concerned about when it comes to waste than those other ones."
Alexander McQueen, it was not.
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
"It would be a shame to waste the sparkles then." Especially with the disco ball and everything.
"But we don't have to..."
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
"No, no," she said, grinning lightly as she shook her head. "You're right. Can't let a cheap glittery dress go to waste, either. That's just dress discrimination, and we can have that..."
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
For the sake of the clothing. Obviously.
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
One that clearly needed at least one trip out on that dance floor, if not more.
"You look really nice," she informed him, while they were on the topic of clothes.
He looked happy, more to the point. The shirt was just set-dressing.
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
And on his life in general.
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
About the wardrobe more so than improving anyone's life. The results were pretty mixed on that one.
"So...." she said, cocking her head a little curiously and trying to gauge exactly where in the current song being played they were at to determine whether another oh-so-convenient switch in the style was about to happen by the time they got out there, "dance now? Or should I hit you up later?"
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
"You can...hit me up," Stark said, grinning a little as he did so, "any time you like. I'm happy to dance with you."
Re: Chaperones [HoCo 2022]
And, lo and behold, eventually, she absolutely would take him up on that.
