J,GoB; Sunday Morning [06/09].
It was another Sunday, which meant that Boc was in for another cinnamon roll. The temptation to deviate from the usual was strong yet again, though, but he almost felt bad getting something else, so, after a good deal of worrying and hand-wringing, whimpers and rubbing his head, he finally decided the best solution was to actually get the usual cinnamon as well as something else.
And so, feeling terribly decadent and almost a little ashamed about it, he made his way over to his table in the conrer with two plates this week: one with the cinnamon roll, and the other with a peach danish. He settled in and then found himself uncertain as to whether or not he should like to eat one and then the other (and, if that were the case, which should be start with?) or just try a bite of one, followed by the other, and alternate as such. He was starting to wish he'd given this a little more thought before clearly just throwing himself into quite a conundrum unexpectedly!

"Good morning, Mr. Boc. What have you got there? It looks lovely."

He looked down at the evidence of his gluttony forlorn, shook his head, and then looked back up toward Lydia's general direction.
"It's quite good, though," he added. "They said the fruit in this one's called a peach, and that it'sa bit fuzzy. Like me.
"In nature, that is," he added, a beat later, "not so much in the pastry."

Lydia might not be Raiden, but she could definitely get behind a little bit of gluttony here and there.

The fact that he could even have the one pastry still felt like a novel luxury he'd have never been able to dream of all on his own! But two?? Two pastries? Remarkable. And unheard of!

But he trailed off a little, as though he could see how the next leg of the conversation might go and thought to save them both the trouble.
"...oh, never mind. I've got them both now, regardless,so I suppose it doesn't really matter."

"Happy Sunday, Boc," he said as he turned away from the counter to find a seat. "Good morning so far?"

Stark was occasionally very easy to please.
"My morning has been fine so far, yes. Nothing exciting happening yet but nothing terrible either and that's far more important. Did you find a new treat to try out?"
no subject
Boc flinched a little guiltily, at the question. "Well, you see, I...well, I did want to try something new. But I also didn't want to not get my usual cinnamon roll, so I got both, and it seemed like it was alright, getting both, but I do feel a bit bad about it, a bit greedy. No one....no one seems to mind, though..."
no subject
"It's not greedy to try more than one thing," Stark said. "Only if you take so much there isn't enough for others. And I've never seen them run out of baked goods here. Not even once. I don't think that will ever be a problem here."
Fandom always had excessive amounts of food.
"Did you like the new one too? What did you try? I have scones today. Strawberry."
no subject
"Oh, I do like scones," he said, perhaps a bit wistfully, "and strawberries are lovely. But, no, I've gotten one of those danishes today. I've been wanting to try one, for a few weeks now. The fruit in this one's called a peach, and I haven't tried that one yet, either."
no subject
"Perhaps you could try a different flavored scone next week?" Stark suggested. He would offer one of his own but by now he knew better and he had no desire to distress Boc.
"I don't think I've ever tried a peach danish. I've had peach cobbler and plain peaches."

He smiled at Boc then. "Like you, yes. Though I'm sure peaches make for better baked goods."
He paused then frowned. "Not that anyone here would think of eating you I shouldn't have said that I'm sorry."
no subject
Until, that is, Stark said that no one would and apologized for saying so, and so now Boc was skeptical, giving Stark a wary look to match.
"Well," he said, "I don't think I'd taste very good in a pastry, anyway..."
He was almost positive tgat literally everyone else on this island would serve that purpose much better...

he didn't know, of courseI certainly don't. There are much better things to put in pastries. Like fruit. And chocolate!"
