Atlas Gym; Tuesday [12/03].
Thinking it could be a good idea to promote gym memberships as gifts along with other gym-related bundles, like workout equipment, clothes, or protein-centered gift baskets, to earn a little extra money for the gym, Gladio had come in that morning hoping to get started on organizing and putting all that sort of stuff and some promotional signs together. But this was all derailed when he came in to find that all the dumbells, barbells, other weights, and even some of the treadmills and elliptical machines, had all been wrapped up in festive holiday paper.
It had not been like that when he swung by yesterday for his usual post-weekend check-in, which meant that either the island was doing a thing, or one of his employees had done a thing.
The problem was, trying to root out who was difficult, because while he genuinely wanted to congratulate that person because he thought it was kind of hilarious, actually, he had a feeling whoever did it just thought they were going to get in trouble for it.
But seriously, that kind of effort for a prank? He was going to be disappointed if it really was just the island, actually.
Atlas is open!

"Ohmygod, we match!"

But, as always, he did appreciate other people's outfits.
"Did you get new equipment?" He asked Gladio, nodding towards the wrapped weights. "Or just being festive?"
no subject
He nodded.
"How's it going today, Stark?"
no subject
It was probably safer to use unwrapped equipment anyway. Probably.
"Going well. And you? Did you have a good holiday?"
Had there been all the Cup Noodle he could eat?

Whether or not he was joking was probably impossible to tell. The wink provably didn't help, either.
"How 'bout yours?"
no subject
It was a low bar but they'd cleared it, okay?
"And I'm not sure i want to know a recipe you would have brought to Ignis that you think would impress Summer..."
He was actually very curious.

Well, no, he supposed with Liliana and Ignis, there was probably always a thin veil of potential murder hanging over their Thanksgiving, too.
"And it involved Cup NooleTM," he added. Helpfully. Unnecessarily, probably. "Well, at least there noodles, anyway. I saved the flavor packets to add to other Cup NoodlesTM, and let me tell ya. Anyone who says you can have too much of a good thing never tried Ultra Flavor Packet Cup NoodlesTM!"

But nobody had died or been maimed or anything. It had been a success.
"And of course your food involved Cup Noodles. I would expect nothing less. I'm glad you had a good dinner that night. But of course you did if Ignis was cooking."
The hint of sadness in his tone at the mention of Ignis's cooking would be easy to miss. It wasn't intentional.
