Had Pam been gone last week? She wasn't about to tell anyone. But she had spent most of last night synthesizing more salve for Octavia, and it had really knocked the wind out of her-- she was, most genuinely, putting herself into it.

So when she showed up to open up the store, it was later in the day. She had a cup of coffee, and a book; she retreated to the sofa at the back of the store and curled up there.
