Pick Your Poison, Monday
It had taken a couple of days for Pam to wrap everything up - the research, the store, which she was keeping in name-only just in case anyone else got any ideas. But it was Monday, now. And she was packing.
The store was open, technically speaking - the sign was turned. But the proprietess herself was going around putting things in boxes, going through inventory, her mind somewhere else.
Gotham.
Home.

A flick. The same space, cleaned up. Small bushes along the edges, barely flowering, a tiny tree planted in the center between them.

"This is what Harley found when she visited it a month later."

Not that Adrian was bothering to comment (or notice) Pam's look, what with him bobbling the phone trying not to drop it. "Great Forest!"

"Well, I hope this means they'll keep... growing back," she settled on.

"I hope so, too," he said, full of warmth. "For them and you."

She looked at him again. "I'll write," she offered. "I'm not great with texting."
