Ching Tai, Saturday night

Johnny looked from Sue to Savannah, back and forth, smirking a little. "So, tell me girls, how does it feel getting to meet each other finally?" Sue had to believe that this was his real-life girlfriend. And Savannah just had to talk good about him. Come on. It was a given.

"My best friend is a half-demon," Paige explained. "Of the non-chaotic variety. And he has fire power. Savannah's known him for a few years and I always suspected she had a bit of a crush on him."

She chuckled softly. "She actually compared Johnny to Adam yesterday. I just didn't realize how deep the comparison ran."

"A demon?" Sue said. Her head was still spinning over the witch thing. Granted, it didn't take much to make her head spin. "Johnny's not a demon, though. He's human -- we got the power from a cosmic storm."

Paige nodded. "It sounds kind of crazy, I guess. But I know Savannah mentioned witchcraft in front of you. It's not something we talk about a lot. Most people don't get it."

She raised an eyebrow. "You have powers too?"

"I can turn invisible," Sue admitted. "And I can project a defense shield. It's not as impressive as what Johnny can do."

A defensive shield sounded useful. Paige made a mental note to try to find a spell that would replicate something like that. "So you think that they're good for each other?"
