The Boards - Tues - 6/24

Did you think that perhaps, after a weekend stuck in his worst nightmare that Geoffrey would take the time off to make sure that he's mentally equipped for practice?

Screw that.

Geoffrey's got the sign up, he's moving around some things, and he's showing the cast the new 'props' he'd made. Which didn't amount to much, but he had been a bit busy this week.

He's got a rock and a table. And he'd figured out that one of the lighting areas off to one side might be large enough for him to get an actor up there for addressing a crowd.

"So. Today? We're going to work on our blocking. I've been pretty lenient about letting you all get into your characters and deal with the text, but we're getting down to the practicalities of the stage. So! On the stage, now."

[ocd will be up!]

Standing on stage, Amber looked at Mr. Tennant. She was unsure of herself. "I'm not sure where you want me enterin' or exitin', or... where to stand in general."

"I can do that," she replied and kept her eyes on him as he approached.

"I was one of the one's kidnapped this last weekend. I... but that won't affect my rehearsin', Mr. Tennant. I promise."

Cal had to admit a small bit of excitement for really getting together with his murderers and working out the blocking of that particular scene. Because, other than that opening speech of his, it would kind of be his only chance to really do much, for the most part.

"The death," Cal said, without a moment's hesitation. "If anything, that's got more movement and action and working with other people."

Michael was on the stage, ready and waiting. He was trying not to look nervous.

Michael blinked at him.

"I do?"

Naomi was on stage, ready to be given instructions.

G'Kar was on the stage, a set of notes in hand. He didn't need practice speaking to an audience, that came with the terrority of being an ambassador.

So instead he opted for something else... "Is there anything specific you would like me to work on?" he asked Geoffrey as he walked up to him.

That...wasn't a question one got every day. G'Kar grabbed a near stool and sat, thinking for several long moments before answering.

"I think," he began slowly, "that it depends entirely upon one's definition. Going mad with rage over having your world destroyed, madness of war, madness of politics, the madness of reflecting upon it all once it ends," he smirked slightly. "Everyone has a bit of madness in them."

Amber sat quietly in a chair, hands in lap.

"Amber," G'Kar walked up to her. "So glad to see you safe. You are doing well I hope?" Really, really hoped.

"Oh yah, you betcha. If not a hundred percent, at least forty," she smiled.

When he wasn't rehearsing and giving the stage up to...well, not more important characters, he supposed, but ones with more lines and scenes, Cal was going over his notes in his script a little, or jotting down some other completely random things in a small notebook. He was also keeping a little bit of an eye on Amber, just to make sure she looked like she was okay, but not much, as he didn't want to bother her or seem too...he wasn't sure what it would have been, but she seemed all right this morning and he was hoping it had stayed that way in the interim between when he left her room and now.

Amber glanced over at Cal and grinned a bit to herself.

She wrote on a piece of paper, You snore, and balled it up and tossed it at him.

She didn't know if he snored or not because she slept easily through the night, but she thought it might get a reaction from him.
