The Perk - Saturday Morning
Tomoyo wanted tea. She had woken up in a strange room, in a strange building, without her bodyguards. And Sakura seemed to be nowhere to be found.
Not to mention this was clearly not Japan.
But Tomoyo was a proper girl, and she did what a lady ought to do when confronted with such a situation. 1) Call her mother. Who, as usual, was busy.
Option two: tea.
Which left a small, ten-year-old girl, calmly sipping her tea and watching the other patrons of the establishment and thinking up new ideas for Sakura's costumes. She might as well make the best of the opportunity.
[OOC: Yes, I'm cruel. Dōjima Yurika is now Daidōji Tomoyo from Cardcaptor Sakura. The sheer amount of cute ought to be illegal. Short periods of AFK, as I turn myself into a fake-ginger.]

Timon was a meerkat on a mission, here. The place he was in seemed to be a little on the... wintry side, for bugs. Which meant slim pickins for a hungry guy like him.
Good thing for eating establishments and coffee shops!
"I'll have a centipede macchiato with extra aphid squeezins," he said as he climbed up onto the counter. "And don't you dare go easy on the centipede, either. I know a guy who knows a guy. And the guy he knows knows a buncha guys. Who are all lions."

Tomoyo was used to Kero. Another talking animal did not alarm her.
no subject
Timon was very choosy about his bugs.

He sniffed and peered down over the edge of the counter, trying to puzzle out a way down without his warthog companion rushing to his aid.
"Fine, they don't serve meerkats here. I know the type. I'll have to look for service somewhere else."
no subject
At least, none that the employees would admit to.

"I am not a cat," he said, flatly. And then, upon further consideration, he added, "but I'll be happy to meow now and then if you'll let me ride around on your head."
Sometimes, one just had to sacrifice his pride for the sake of transportation.

She was not, however, stupid. Animals did not generally belong on a young lady's head.
"You may ride in my backpack, if you wish," she countered. "But I don't yet know where I am going."

This was saying a lot, from the sort of guy who would mail himself to a tropical island in a crate if ever the opportunity arose.

"YOU DERE!" he stormed into the cafe and pointed at the girl at the table. "Have you been invaded yet?"
He couldn't keep all those little Eastern European ones apart, but he did know he needed to get on them before Russia did.

"You're all cute and such," he noted, "like France. Mein Gott, you're not Luxembourg, are you?"

"But I often attend to Sakura as she combats the Clow, as someone must take a good record of the event."

Blossom landed at the door to the Perk and held it open for her sister. "Come on, Bubbles. They should have something breakfasty here. And if not, I am sure that the kind shopkeeper can direct us."

He was a pro at short, really. Getting down, not so much, no.

Bubbles would be hyper enough, caffeine or no.

"My lips are sealed," he promised. "So, if you're superheroes, I don't suppose you'd be able to help me off the counter? It just so happens, this fine dining establishment doesn't serve the sort of grub that my refined tastebuds prefer."
no subject
"Okay, do you really need our help to get down? How'd you get up there in the first place?" She smiled.
