Pixie Dust, Sunday

"Oh my god, people actually wear this stuff?"

Eric couldn't help but snicker as his waffle-maker looked through the bin of... rejected... clothing. "Not if we can help it," he explained. "Why do you think is there, and not on the racks?"

The blond girl in the skull-print hoodie, miniskirt and black combat boots didn't actually need any help with her shopping. She had just dropped in to see what was theree while she was on her little stroll through town, and was wandering aimlessly, looking at clothes.

That didn't stop her from gravitating towards the boy she thought was cuter, however.

"Hi," Kate smiled. "I'm not really looking for anything in particular."

Although I so want your phone number. Shut up, brain.

"But if there is something particularly awesome here that you think I'd like, I would definitely appreciate it if you could direct me to it."

Kate could always claim her gaydar had been on the fritz because she had just spent several days as a cat.

Or hell, she could even say it was because he was, in fact, a waffle-maker, which was not supposed to have any sort of sexual orientation at all.

The shirt seemed to clear her head about the whole phone number thing a bit, though. "Um, I don't think that's really my style..." She frowned.

"...Huh?" Kate raised her eyebrows. "Then shouldn't you be working at a diner, or something?"

The inanimate to animate thing? Poor Kate had not even heard about it yet.

Kate nodded, very slowly. "I see."

Then she shrugged, a half-smile on her lips. "Well, I was a cat for most of this week, so I guess I can accept that."
