Bruce looked as if he expected this - since, you know, he did and he called it back at Homecoming. But to be fair, that kind of ~~casual arrogance~~ confidence was part of his charm. Presumably.

Still, he smiled and gave a quick wave of thanks to his classmates.

This was exactly what Quinn had hoped for in her senior prom. She gasped, reached to give her date a hug, and then went to claim her tiara. Her eyes were moist with tears of relief, and she was beaming.

Hey, that got Tony to look up from texting Rhodey. "Seriously?"

"What?" Petra asked, looking around in surprise--and not mock pageant surprise, either. No matter how many tiaras she amassed it always still came as a bit of a surprise. "You guys! Oh my God!"

After ~~handwavily~~ helping with setup, Petra rushed back to the dorms to get ready, arriving fashionably late but still in plenty of time for the big announcement. She was really excited about her dress.

Tainted punch and pie fountains were still flowing strong. Very strong.

It would be unqueenly to take too much of the spiked punch, but Quinn figured a few little sips were her due.

It tasted sweet and strong.

So Annie still had doubts about the fountain, but she was trying to get over that. She did feel a little like she was guarding the punch bowl to keep it from being spiked again, though, totally not realizing that it was totally too late for that.

Lex was very appreciative of whoever had spiked the punch, though he probably would have gone for something with a different flavour.

Petra filled a cone of pie crust with cherry pie filling, then took a nibble.

Spiked cherry pie filling turned out to be extra tasty. She was probably going to eat way too much of this, but who cared as long as she didn't get it on her dress?

Just keep them away from that punch...um.

What do you have against Jaye, narrative?

She definitely had a cup of spiked punch that she was sipping on, because how else did you expect her to get through one of these things? She and Logan had once brought two bottles of alcohol on a double date with them. There were photos.

Scott had a cup of punch in his hand, mostly to help him deal with any conga lines.

But as long as those conga lines didn't interrupt, he was going to focus on saving any youngin's that needed saving and just generally righting any outlaw wrongs in the Mars dance.

The cozy seating didn't move, but those injured by their dance partners get first dibs.

With the punch surely spiked by now, Bruce was staying away from the food table unless there was a very good reason to hit it up. Especially since he didn't know what happened when you mixed alcohol with a pie fountain. The chemistry there was potentially terrible.

So yeah, shadowy corners for Bruce. His second home. Well, like fourth or fifth home. Whatever.
