Freedom Arms- Wednesday
Aeryn being Aeryn, she was technically at work today. "Technically" because she was standing outside it with a pulse rifle, more than happy to shoot at anything unfriendly that came near. And she supposed she'd probably maybe have to sell things if people came around on a day where monsters were everywhere, but she was mostly about the shooting.
And to think, she'd started to feel bored in this place, but this felt more like her extremely weird life.

"Crimson Bands of Cyttorak! I summon thee!"
A wave of energy swept from his hands binding three or four mummies but for some reason the zombie piranhas were able to evade.
"God damn it!" Jamie swore as he beat back some of the fish, "All I wanted to do today was get a freaking burrito!"

Ah, but the day is still young, Aeryn!
Jamie on the other hand was pretty annoyed as he managed to take out the last three fish with some mystical bolts.
"I'm wet. I'm hungry. And the goddamn island won't let me get food," Jamie grumbled. "What the hell is going on here?"
And then he looked at Aeryn with a sudden realization.
"And why are you working on a day where we're being invaded?"

"Okay. Fine. That makes sense. You know what makes no sense? The fact that you can't step foot out of a hotel and get attacked by trolls just because you wanted a FREAKING BREAKFAST BURRITO!"
Sorry, Aeryn. Jamie just needed to vent.

He sighed again and rubbed his head.
"Plus I'm soaking wet and I'm pretty sure there's a dead zombie piranha fish in my pants."

Down the street there was a large viking making his way down the street. Jamie rolled his eyes and waved his hands. "Bolts of Balthakk," Jamie said in an off-hand manner and blasted the viking with a bolt of energy which knocked him to the ground.
"So how's your day?" he said in an off-hand manner.

Because it did.
"How are you doing that?"

"Magic," he replied. "I'm guessing you're a girl with a military background. Right?"

With the posture and the way the carried herself and the weapons strapped on her, not to mention the weapon in her hands that she clearly knew her way around.
Yes, she was joking.
no subject
"Was that a joke?"
Yes. He had to check.

Which no one here seemed to know, which was both depressing and a relief at the same time.

Who had a revolver in one hand and a black hair scrunchie in the other, which she was doing a crappy job of getting her wildly mussed hair shoved into with just one hand. Mfuh.
She set the gun on the counter and scraped her hair back with both hands. "What do you have that fires more than six shots before I have to reload and get chomped on again?"

moddableweapons to bring back to show her. "These are some of the choices. Should be enough to take down the big things-" She had no idea wtf a dinosaur was. "-though you might have to be more precise when dealing with the uh, fish."no subject
Her leather jacket had taken most of the damage, but Bo had a nasty scratch on one cheek and a less visible but no less achey bite on her wrist where a piranha had taken advantage of a pushed-back sleeve while she was firing at his buddies.
"Also, hi, I'm Bo. I'd say welcome to Fandom, but it sounds kind of sarcastic during a week like this."

It was fine for her to do it, but she was trained to fight things. Maybe not piranhas, but things.

Oh, Aeryn. Everything can put back in Fandom, just wait.

I hear folder helmets can help if monsters actually come out of the lava."I haven't tried to shoot it either," Bo admitted. "But it'd probably do just as much good as me with my nose in a multiversal physics book: negative jack-squat on a scale of one to ten. Out here beating things up is better."

That and the free tee shirts and the chance to collect HD video of loved ones turning into raccoons.
