The good news was that Turtle & Canary itself was not underwater at the moment.
The bad news was that since pretty much everything else was, the only way to get in was through one of those green pipes on the roof.
The other good news was that Summer had managed to find one of those frog suits Kanan had mentioned yesterday.
The other bad news was that this now meant that Summer found herself stuck in a one of those frog suits Kanan had mentioned yesterday.
Which meant Kanan was definitely getting an apology text and a froggy selfie to prove to him exactly why.
Ahhh. Karma.

Kanan was. Kanan was absolutely laughing at Summer as he sent her that text, raccoon ears perked and a grin on his face.

But Summer had also expected as much, otherwise she wouldn't have bothered with sending the text at all.

Just like how Summer imagined BDG could absolutely feel the little narrow eyed glare through Summer's phone. Well, sure, he had that whole Force thing, too, but blah blah blah Power of Friendship blah.
And duh. obvs. of course it is. there is such a thing as too much of a good thing, tho.
There was also a comment in there about how of course he'd be partial to green anyway, but she was not about to actually make it.

Kanan appreciated that. He'd worn green all the time even before meeting Hera, dammit. Which was his story and he was sticking to it.
... Anyway, it was weird to dress in the skin tone of the object of your affections.
Tell that to Stance. He's living it up. Maybe you can take him for a swim after your shift, I'm sure he'd like that.

OMG WE HAVE TO!!!!! YES. YES PLEASE. That will make this whole dumb frog suit thing totally worth it!
And she had, in that moment, considered then going to find out how to get one for Pancakes, but then realized how terrible of an idea that was.

Well, it got a laugh out of Kanan, anyway. Whether that was the Force or a BFF bond or just the all-caps remained to be seen.

But this was good! This definitely made the frog suit worth it, and, hey, with everything pixelated, no one could really tell just how bad the frog suit even was, really, and she'd get to swim around with a little froggy Stance and now she had something to get her through the day that wasn't trying to make sense and interpret lines upon lines of orders and sales reports that were literally just, like, a blurry line because what even were minute details in this world?

Really, it was kind of a miracle they could even read their texts.

And then she followed it up with a bunch of hearts because, despite the oh-so-seriousness of her texting tone, she remembered she was going to swimming with Stance later and it was just too cute and perfect.
Like, Pancakes wouldn't even be jealous, because swimming.

And so help him, Summer, you'd infected Kanan's own texting tendencies, because you were getting one single, lonesome heart emoji in reply.

And every heart he sent would make Summer cackle in pride as the infection spread, beaming happily and being content in that, knowing she should probably get to work, anyway, although, really, she was mostly going to be spending the time until the end of the day figuring out a bajillion ways to spoil the crap out of that dog before handing him back over to Kanan.
