Caritas; Wednesday [08/19].
Well, Summer slept like crap last night, something she could only attribute to having her extreme-mega-cocktail of trauma stirred up a little on her date yesterday. But not, like, in a bad way, or anything! It was just kind of inevitable in most things she did that involved actually getting to know and connect with other people, so she didn't think much of it. Besides, she felt really good about it overall barring any sudden twists in SP, and now there was going to be a party.
So she was feeling pretty good about things right now as she get things set up and ready for the evening and really hoped these girls didn't let her down. But it involved Eleanor and there were shrimp shots again, so she wasn't too worried about it.

Caritas was open!

The Stage - 08/19.
Re: The Stage - 08/19.
Wait a second. It'll come to her.
"Ssseeeevvv-"
Almost there.
"Severe Garden. There it is. I did it!"
Nope.
"So because she made me a drink with whisky shrimp and glitter-"
The band began to play a tune.
"Not that bullshirt!"
So the band began to play a different tune
"Jesus. What the fork up with that Disney princess bullshirt? C'mon. I'm here to ROCK!" She shouted complete with the 'Fist of Rock' (TM).
So the band finally started to play this song.
"FORK YEAH! C'MON LADIES! THIS IS FOR SEVERE GARDEN!"
Still the wrong name. Regardless, Eleanor began to sing.
I wake up in the morning
And I raise my weary head
I've got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night's bed
I don't know where I'm going
Only God knows where I've been
I'm a devil on the run!
A six gun lover!
A candle in the wind!
When you're brought into this world
They say you're born in sin
Well at least they gave me something
I didn't have to steal or have to win
Well they tell me that I'm wanted
Yeah, I'm a wanted man!
I'm a colt in your stable!
I'm what Cain was to Abel!
Mister catch me if you can!
I'm going out in a blaze of gl-
And as she was about to enter into the chorus, Eleanor jumped and fell off the stage, flat on her face.
"SEVERE GARDEN!"
And she then crawled back to the bar as the band played the rest of the song.
Re: The Stage - 08/19.
Maybe not the most exciting karaoke choice, and definitely the one that went against the whole idea of this getting Astrid's mind off her parental issues, but she...really needed to get to know more music.
And at least it wasn't Leonard Cohen.
Michelle, ma belle
These are words that go together well
My Michelle
Michelle, ma belle
Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble
Tres bien ensemble
I love you, I love you, I love you
That's all I want to say
Until I find a way
I will say the only words I know you'll understand
Michelle, ma belle
Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble
Tres bien ensemble
I need to, I need to, I need to
I need to make you see
Oh, what you mean to me
Until I do I'm hoping you will know what I mean
I love you
I want you, I want you, I want you
I think you know by now
I'll get to you somehow
Until I do I'm telling you so you'll understand
Michelle, ma belle
Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble
Tres bien ensemble
And I will say the only words I know that you'll understand
My Michelle
And then the song ended, and Astrid wasn't sure what to do with herself, so she just bobbed her head as if to thank everyone for not booing or throwing vegetables at her, tucked her hair behind her ears, and hurried off.
She might consider drinking a little more before she decided to do that again.
The Bar - 08/19.
Re: The Bar - 08/19.
If the bar was crowded to avoid mental trauma from last night's dream, Eleanor's battle cry was no doubt heard throughout the establishment.
"Summer, seriously, you're a god darn genius," she said pointing at the drink specials. "I'll take both specials please."
Re: The Bar - 08/19.
Because no one needed to choke on a shrimp bit in jello when throwing back a shot on her watch.
"There's plenty more where that came from, too."
Because who needed to encourage responsible teenage drinking? Not Summer, that was for sure!

Yes, a generic, non-descript beer to erase Dylan's Hiss-infected face from her mind. If only it really worked that way.

Then her proud smile shifted her attention to the mayor. '
"How's it going tonight, Jesse? What can I get for you?"

"But come on," she goaded with a grin, "I thought you'd at least be down with the glitter."

It was an intellectual exercise because she had firmly been on Team Ride the Bench today.

"Also," she added, "party goers get either first one free, too."
Because she was so supportive of this ladies night, it was her former party queen duty to have all of you girls' backs.

So of course she wanted to check it out. The fact that it was in the tavern helped, because alcohol, she found, usually did help most situations like this overall.
Especially following a bad night of fresh dreams about Lord Fratley's departure and the deep rift it had left in her soul, and a stark reminder that she was doing very little these days to advance her quest to find him...

"Hello person I don't know!" Eleanor said cheerfully/buzzed. "You need a drink. You want shrimp or be a wuss and drink something shiny?"

Not that she was planning on overdoing it, but she still got herself a drink before making her way over to the girls.
Re: The Lounge - 08/19.
By the time Sabine showed up, Eleanor was already into her third drink. "Hello person I've probably met before but can't remember her name!" Eleanor said in greeting and LOUD. "You want a shrimp or glitter jello shop! Shop? No. Shot!"
She laughed.
"Seriously though, the shrimp shot is wonderful!"
Don't fall for it Sabine.

Not that Astrid had any doubt that she would come, but that (and a good amount of wine and glitter shots) didn't negate the fact that she was glad to see her.
The nice thing about a roommate used to.you having nightmares was that it probably didn't phase Sabine that Astridnhad clearly had some bad ones again last night.

That part was actually true.
