Caritas; Wednesday [08/19].

Well, Summer slept like crap last night, something she could only attribute to having her extreme-mega-cocktail of trauma stirred up a little on her date yesterday. But not, like, in a bad way, or anything! It was just kind of inevitable in most things she did that involved actually getting to know and connect with other people, so she didn't think much of it. Besides, she felt really good about it overall barring any sudden twists in SP, and now there was going to be a party.

So she was feeling pretty good about things right now as she get things set up and ready for the evening and really hoped these girls didn't let her down. But it involved Eleanor and there were shrimp shots again, so she wasn't too worried about it.

"Summer, I'm not questioning your ability to get dates, I'm just asking whether the squirrels think you should be dating someone you're not."

She put a piece of glittery jello in her mouth.

"I know," said Summer, her face breaking out into the biggest grin, and the excitement taking over again, "I was just messing with you. God, you make it so easy! But yes, I did have a date last night, and it was amazing, and I have to warn you, if you ask me for more details, I just may start speaking in excited squeaks probably not even audible to the human ear."

Summer took a moment look at Seivarden with a sort of skepticism, as if she felt that she couldn't truly understand exactly what she was agreeing to, but then she smirked a little. "Okay," she relented, "so, it wasn't even, like, that big of a deal. It started with him giving me two bomb ass ion cannon, then we just, you know, took the ship and headed into space, I totally got to show off a little before we got some food, picnicked it up on an absolutely gorgeous planet, and then I introduced him to Ball Fondlers."

YES, SHE HEARD IT.

"The movie," she clarified. "Not..." Cue eye roll. "..you know. We're not there yet."

She would have drawn that conclusion even without having spent a lot of time around Lucifer.

"It's not," said Summer, but then she paused. "Well, I mean, I guess you could say it's kind of, like, a very specific kind of porn, but not sexual. It's an action franchise, so lots of gratuitous guns and violence and explosions, kicking ass and taking names."

She shoudlers sort of squared a little with her proud grin.

Summer glowed a little happily at that.

"It's very good," she said. "We've even got another date planned although not the details yet, la, so I...have a really good feeling about this one."

Mostly. That good feeling was definitely covering up a whole mess of anxiety and flailing, even with how well everything went, because it still felt too good to be true, and it probably most definitely was, and, sure, they crossed a lot of thresholds on how in step they were with mutual fucked up experiences, but Summer felt she'd barely even skimmed the top with hers, and he was just so nice that eventually...

...she just knew she was a lot to handle, okay?

"Honestly?" Summer's scoff this time was a little more like a laugh. "Unlike some people..." Because how dare you dislike being incarcerated for crimes you didn't commit, Seivarden!, "I think he might actually enjoy that."

Assuming they were able to get out, anyway, but, come on. She was a badass and he was a super-genius. If they couldn't pull it off, they deserved to stay imprisoned at that point.
