Three Minute Dates- Caritas- Saturday until 8:15 pm
Caritas was decked out tonight for tonight's event with balloons and a giant glittery sign over the stage.
WELCOME TO
THREE MINUTE DATES!!
And a few minutes before 8:00, Kitty took the stage with the zombie band playing her on. As the music stopped, she began, "Welcome, everyone, to our semi-annual Three Minute Dates! If you're new to this, you've added your names to the list and when your name is called, you'll meet your first date and have three minutes to get to know them. Then when the buzzer sounds, it'll be on to your next date. Easy peasy! We've done things a little differently tonight, and gone through the painstaking process of picking some great matches for you all-"
It was then that Tino took it upon himself to come by to show off something like a miniature version of SNL's upcoming hosts board, with everyone's names attached in pairs. It was really a work of art.
And then he slipped on a patch of glitter and the names went flying everywhere.
One of the zombies played a sad "wah wah" sound.
For a moment Kitty just stared in horror, and then said, "Give us two minutes," and dashed off the stage.
Off to a great start!

And his plan was to just sit back, grab a beer, and watch from the sidelines, maybe offering encouraging words and helpful guidance between tables between rounds, maybe facilitate a little grease to the wheels if any of those dates of Iggy's looked like they'd gone well, and then head back to Nell's.
Little did he know that Tino had very different plans for him that evening.
And that was why Tino didn't even get a spot on Gladio's favorite bartender ranking.

"Hey, Tino! Didn't really expect you'd still be here for some reason. Can I get a bottle of something that's trendy on Earth and only a little terrible?"
Well, what could be trendier than getting signed up for Three Minute Dates? He handed her beer over and pointed out that she was on the sign up sheet.
"That's extremely rude," Jessica said with a sigh. "And this beer is more than a little terrible. You owe me an actual good drink before the dates start."
She pulled out her phone to send a couple texts.
Happens every time. I visit this town and end up signed up for speed dating. I'll let you know how many Jedi and Spider-People I get this time.

She took another sip of her trendy but terrible beer and took a look around to see if she spotted anyone she might still recognize.

Two friends to needle you into socializing more by not letting you escape being signed up for speed dating!
Plus, it seemed like forever since they'd all gone out together, and even though Gladio was planning on bouncing back to Nell's once this was over, at least they'd have a good fifteen, twenty minutes to just chill and share a beer and provide support from the sidelines.
Or so he thought. Looks like the cheerleading section was going to be a chocobro of one tonight.
(Though after Gladio's name had been unexpectedly called? Prompto was definitely sweating a little, but at least if he did get suckered into it, he felt 'because Tino!' was a decent enough excuse!).

"You know I hate you," she told him, just in case he didn't know.

He slunk along the wall and climbed onto a stool and just sort of looked around wide-eyed and wondering if maybe some sort of event was going on? Was he impeding on something important?
Maybe no one would notice him? He'd only wanted a drink!
He supposed that was what he got for frivolous indulgences!

Which, okay great. She was just gonna get...bullied by birds now or whatever. That sounded fun. With an exasperated sigh, she turned around and found herself...
...face to face with a ton of strangers in a much smaller area than the picnic had been. Ooookaaaay.

Even if she found herself weirdly drawn to that redhead that she didn't recognize in particular, for some reason.
