Groovy Tunes; Monday [ 04/20 ].

Chad was starting to think that all of this end of the year stuff really shouldn't have waited until the end of the year because, man, there was a lot of stuff to do. Most of it had to do with the store, but some of it was his college stuff, and the rest of it...

...there was an application to something that kept drawing his attention. It was kind of a ridiculous idea, but he definitely had the experience for it.

Now if only he could bring himself up to just doing it...

Dale was in an impossibly good mood this morning. Possibly because he was still basking in the glow of his engagement to Charlotte. Of course the three cups of coffee he had in the last hour also were a factor.

"Good morning!" Dale said cheerfully as he entered the shop. "My, what a lovely shop you have here!"

"Uhh...." Chad looked up from his pile of papers and seemed a little confused for a moment. Sure, it was a damn fine shop, but 'lovely' just...

...wasn't a word he'd use for it. But a compliment was a compliment.

"Um, well..." Chad rubbed the back of his neck a little. Considering how he and Teddy's song was a darkwave anthem about violent sex and obsession, he had the feeling his thoughts on the matter weren't exactly going to match Sheriff Cooper's.

"Let's...try the classics section first, maybe?" he suggested.

But then Chad, struck by inspiration, stopped in his tracks.

"Oh, wait," he said. "What about some Styx?"

Styx was totally classic.

Just be glad he didn't say Journey.

"I don't think it's what I'm looking for," Dale replied. "Besides I think my fiance might be a little put off. Do you know her? She owns the art gallery in town."

Chad really could only say good things about someone who let him and Teddy sit in the reception area doing nothing but eating take-out and watching modeling shows.
