Parents Weekend Bowling Night, Fast Eddie's, Saturday

J.Lo had helped Tip set up for the evening, so along with the obligatory preponderance of glitter for any Student Council organized activity, there was also a non-zero amount of bubbles. Bubbles of every shape, size, and color drifted through the arcade, the shoe rental, the dining counter, everywhere but the bowling lanes, so as to not mess with the floor there if they popped. They weren't going to pop without extra effort, though. These were Boov bubbles, built to last.

"You know no one but you can tell that those say 'Welcome parents and guests', right?" Tip asked. Bill flew in indignant circles of her head, and J.Lo gave her the stink eye.

"If Tip had beento studying as werefor her promisings, she would knows this also."

"Anyway, let's get you some shoes. . . ."

[open!]

"Ooo, you should film it, then. It would go viral, like, instantly."

Hera grinned. "I'll see what we can do."

"Do you have a phone? Because I would love to get a link to whatever you end up doing."

And have the pretty green lady's phone number.

"I have a comm; I think you can call it from a phone," Hera said. She wasn't sure if maybe that was a Fandom thing?

She took her comm out and pushed the buttons that usually let her dial someone's number. "What's yours? Let's see if it works."

The pretty green lady was asking for her number!

Cassie had no delusions about where this all was going. But it was so much fun to fantasize.

She told Hera the number, pulling her phone out of her pocket and setting it on the table. "Does it do texting, too? Though . . . I guess if you use a different alphabet that would be hard."
futurespacemom: (well?)

Re: Food!

[personal profile] futurespacemom 2017-10-01 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it wasn't going there; sorry Cassie.

"Oh, we still have the same alphabet, too, we just don't use it much," Hera explained. "It's mostly for really formal, fancy things. I had to relearn a lot of it I hadn't seen since school."

She dialed Cassie's number, waiting to see if it rang.

It didn't, but it did buzz, which was what Cassie's phone in particular did. "There it is! We win."

"Great!" Hera grinned. "I'll have to find out when there's one of these things going on, and I'll make sure to send you what happens. And this way I can let you know if we get any interesting metal in, too!"

Or when ghost pepper was on the menu.

"That sounds like a great plan," Cassie said. "And you can send me pics if you get attacked by sharks again. Uncle Eliot never tells us anything."
futurespacemom: (smiling)

"Sure, if I can," Hera agreed. "With the sharks, I was mostly busy helping Kanan clean the shark out of our living room, and then flying into the storm to drop frozen ones in, but not all the weird things are that bad."
prophetnotpoet: (duh)

". . . Flying into the storm with frozen sharks?"
futurespacemom: (not buying it)

"To help break it up." Hera shrugged. "I have no idea why, but it worked."

"Not unless you're a super villain."

Cassie's world didn't have super villains. That she knew of.

"I could probably find a holo with a Bothan playing the villain," Hera said. "They're a feline species back home," she explained.
prophetnotpoet: (hopeful)

Re: Food!

Sorry, Ellie, your twin sister is throwing you under the bus.
