Homecoming 2018- Town Hall- Saturday evening

Town hall was decked out for homecoming, and there was certainly... a theme. Halloween Under the Sea was definitely a theme that they had come up with.

And it was a theme that was put together by several people not from this universe who didn't know much about Halloween, or what this planet had under its sea.

So there were definitely backdrops of waves lining the walls, and they were decorated with things like fish. Fish that were wearing costumes that had been Googled so that some might have firefighter helmets on, or cat ears. One was very definitely a superhero. Same for the octoroks. And sure, yeah, maybe you had one of these guys on a wall but he was wearing a witch's hat!

There was also plenty of orange and black glitter around, too. Don't worry, they hadn't classed the place up too much.

When Sabine figured out that she probably couldn't just wear her armor (something she was starting to get annoyed about), she'd had two criteria for what to wear: it needed color, and she'd probably be massively uncomfortable in a skirt. After all, what if something attacked? And those two simple criteria had left her with not many options, so she was in this. She'd managed to stitch together the front so it wasn't nearly as revealing and she still felt exposed, and she'd had to cut way down on the number of weapons she was wearing, which felt wrong when one of your criteria was potential attack-based.

Eh, at least she was proud of the art.

"Thanks. This was all I could find that wasn't black." And Sabine didn't really do all black if she could help it, so instead she was trying not to feel too uncovered and ridiculous. Be more interesting, designers. "You did pretty good there, though."

Again, Lana's dress was nothing Sabine would feel comfortable in herself, but she could appreciate pretty.

"Thank you," Lana said. "Why not get black and paint it yourself?" she asked. "Not that that isn't lovely," she added hastily. "But that seems like it would be more...you."

"Not enough time, and I'm not used to working on fabric," she explained. "And sometimes it helps to step outside your comfort zone."

And then wear your armor for months straight.
