Around Fandom - All Day Saturday

Over the course of the evening, Fandom's population increased significantly. The prehistoric creatures that had first arrived last night were no longer alone. The newcomers inquisitively investigated their new surroundings.

Meanwhile, amidst the bits and pieces of school being reconstructed at the top of the hill, an oviraptor sniffed around. Smooth rocks that looked like eggs were left out for the taking. Cautiously, it snatched one of the rocks out of the pile. The creatures around the island screeched at the sudden pain the rock-snatcher had caused. The oviraptor dropped the mistaken egg-rock and ran away, but the damage was already done.

The sudden overwhelming pain hadn't been an isolated incident. It had triggered something inside each of the creatures' minds, aggravating them beyond normal behavior, doing what pheromone-laced leis did to snakes that one time on a plane. You know the one.

For the dinosaurs (and company), new surroundings had become hostile territory and its inhabitants were to be destroyed.

For the residents of Fandom, well, it was another one of those weekends.

[OOC: This post is for the big location fights at the Rocky Bits, Park, School Grounds, Preserve, Serenity Cove and Efferton Manor. Other dinosaurs not featured here will be pinging into posts all around the place. If you post, they will come (unless you put an OOC note to say 'no thanks', but public places need not apply). Dorms, Caritas and Clinic are safe havens. If you are in need of a dinosaur to fight, please use the OOC thread to post a link to where you are. We'll try to get to everyone, but some places may get missed!]

River reacted quickly and some part of her mind decided that the best way to avoid being hit was to cling to the swinging tail. She jumped on to it and tried to grab it with her arms and legs.

It's long neck made clinging to the tail risky. River quickly decided to climb further up the back on to the dinosaur, aiming for the base of the neck where its head hopefully couldn't reach.

This wasn't good. River did her best to hold on to the creature's neck, using her arms and legs. Branches whipped across her back as the dinosaur crashed through the trees, and finally her strength ran out. Her arms slipped and she flew through the air, crying out before everything went black.

There was the sound of a pop as air was forced out of the space it had occupied, and Ronan stumbled, his sight wavering a moment as the transport spell drained him more than he'd expected. Still, he kept his balance, mostly, and took stock of where he'd appeared. "River!" he exclaimed, seeing her on the ground and rushing towards her.

When she didn't respond, he did the best examination he could, and figured that the best thing was to get her to the clinic, as fast as he could. Hoping that he had enough to do another transport spell, he lined up the words in his head and spoke them carefully, and in a moment they were gone.
