He's there. He might ask your opinion on so-and-so's dress, too, if you catch him on the right page.

Chad glanced up from his magazine; Hinata might notice a small line of scars cut across his cheek.

Prince Oscar Pedro might not have taken too kindly to Chad trying to bundle him up earlier this morning. But Chad had a feeling that if any of the animals on the island should be restrained to a sweater in weather like this, it was a hairless one. He'd thank him later, Chad was sure of it.

"Hey, Hinata-san. What's up?"

.....

AWWWWW. Chad grinned a little, especially at the squirming, and, considering how Hinata was holding her out, he assumed he could take her and reached out to get a closer look at the kitten.

And by closer look, he meant snuggle time and ear scritches.

"Is this Yei?" he asked, because, clearly, it needed to be asked.

Chad was positively a melted mush of goo inside, although, externally, he just continued to stoicly nuzzle the tip of his fingers between Yei's ears. "Hey, there, Yei. Nice to meet you. I'm Chad."

And, of course, the sound of Yei's purring was slowly drawing Prince Oscar Pedro, still stuck in an unfortunate green sweater, out from his hiding spot nearby. Slowly, his naked little head peeking out to see what was going on.

Chad followed Hinata's smile toward where Prince Oscar Pedro was peeking out, and gave a jerk of his head to try to indicate that he should come out. "Come meet a new friend, Neko-kun."

Prince Oscar Pedro just let out a long, cracking sort of meow of protest. He wasn't coming out to meet anyone dressed like he was.

Amused by Yei's eagerness to play with someone her own species, Chad grinned a little and carefully bent over to set her down so she could say hi.

Prince Oscar Pedro's already bulbous eyes got wider in a sort of distress and he disappeared under the shelf again.

"I don't think he likes the color green," Chad explained. Clearly, that had to be it.

Prince Oscar Pedro tried to hide a little bit more before giving a regretful, scratching meow back. And, because he never really was much good at sticking to one thing, he very shortly edged forward, neck stretched as his nose twitched in sniffing this new kitty out. She didn't look or smell much like Dinah, or the three that were gone now, but new kitties were good, because then he could stop being so bored.

"That's the color of his sweater," Chad explained. "You didn't think I'd let him go out in the cold unprotected, did you?"

"Very little ones," Chad explained a bit further with a nod. "It's important for him. Yei's probably fine, since she's so fluffy."

Prince Oscar Pedro was discovering that she was fluffy as well as his sniffing edged him a little further forward and he let out a small meow, to give her a nuzzle of greeting.

And, yes, he was already purring.

"She'll like it here, then," Chad said with a nod. "Warm, and I don't mind her exploring if she wants, and I bet Prince Oscar Pedro will show her around."

He eyed the spot where the kitten had disappeared, where Prince Oscar Pedro's purr kicked up a notch at lick from the other kitten and stretched a little bit more to enjoy the fact that she did have fur, while he did not, and it was very nice, almost as nice as Dinah's, but this one was a lot littler than Dinah, so he'd have to make sure he was nice.

Since he didn't seem to hear any hisses or yowls or anything, Chad could only conclude, "They seem to like each other."

"I don't think I can think of anything that Prince Oscar Pedro actually doesn't like," Chad admitted, and then, pausing thoughtfully, grunted. "Except green, I mean."

Prince Oscar Pedro nudged the other kitten back; he's actually forgotten about the sweater for a brief moment there, but, now that she had brought his attention back to it, he got what he thought was a very clever idea. Perhaps she could help him! As a cat, he figured she would have the same sort of affinity for yarn that he had, and the sweater was made of yard, and, therefor...

He gave a soft meow, the kind that was imploring for her assistance, as he lifted a paw and gently brought it against her side; his little cat fingers were careful to keep his claws in as he pawed softly, hoping she'd imitated and, in the process, start a nice snag on his sweater that they could unravel.

Rather than meowing his appreciation that the other kitten was able to figure it out (he was very impressed with her intelligence), Prince Oscar Pedro only purred more, louder, quicker, almost a low and rumbling buzz as he set his paw down and started moving a little away from her, so to help with her tugging.

"Red," Chad answered in a grunt, although he had no basis of evidence to this claim. He just had a feeling.

Somehow, Prince Oscar Pedro's purr still had room to increase in excitement for the success of the mission, and with a thankful, grateful meow, he started turning around in circles so that his movement combined with the other kitty having a hold of the loosed strands, would slowly start to unravel the awful sweater.

"He also likes chocolate," Chad added, feeling it was somehow important. "But it makes him really sick."

Clever, perhaps, but all Prince Oscar Pedro, purring away like a motorboat as he turned, was concerned with was getting that sweater off. Already he was starting to feel freer, less itchy, although he was getting a bit dizzy. It was kind of fun, though, all that spinning.

"What?" Chad asked. "You mean like carob or something?"

Just a few more spins....and then he was free! Feeling that last strand of yard slip away, Prince Oscar Pedro let out a triumphant meow and bounced a little, pouncing on air for a moment until remembering who he had to thank for his freedom from the sweater. He marched happily over to the other kitten, purring as he nuzzled a hairless cheek into her much fluffier one, then nibbled on her ear appreciatively.

"I think it's like...a...vegan chocolate substitute, or something," Chad said. He...had no idea. But he was kind of hungry now.

Prince Oscar Pedro was very glad that the other kitten was having fun with the yarn, but he himself decided to maybe hold off on the playing a little. One was a bit reluctant to play with his former oppressor.

For about maybe five seconds. Eventually, he decided that he was over it, and went rifling through the yard to try to find an end.

Chad shrugged again and decided to observe on something different this time. "What do you think they're doing under there? Maybe they found some good dust bunnies?"

End, end, end, end, end. Prince Oscar Pedro let out a small mew as he tried to root through the yarn with his nose to find an end, trying his very best to stay out of her way. He didn't want to get accidentally pounced like a string.

Hinata's suggestion had Chad frowning a little worriedly. "...Like what?"

Oh no! He'd been pounced! Prince Oscar Pedro let out a surprised sort of meow as the other kitten started licking him. But it wasn't a bad thing; it was playing, and she seemed really eager to play, so he tried to twist around to lick her back.

"I wouldn't think so," Chad said, frowning just a little deeper, "they both seem good kitties..."
