The Boards - Rehearsal - Tuesday, 9/30

He hadn't had much of a weekend, other than his usual slinking around his theatre, working on ideas for the production. A part of him was wanting to dress it up since they had some funds to spare, but another part of him loved the bare-bones production style regardless of how much money they had. It made the actors work harder and as far as he was concerned, that work was worth a lot more than quality sets and costumes. That said, no one had ever really hurt for having a little help and this wasn't anything particularly deep. It was as deep as a comedy could go, really, especially an amateur production, but...

He sighed and opened the door.

He'd have to talk to Tony about it.

[ocd coming up!]

G'Kar was there surprisingly early, thanks to the new store schedule.

He took the stage, script in hand and ran through his lines. His performance of the role for Leopoldo seems to be getting better with each passing week.

Leaning on the stage so he didn't chafe his armpits even more with the crutches he had, Cal asked, "Is it okay if I just read my lines today? Moving around is still a little...painful at the moment."

Hinata, upon realizing that she actually had to say more than a line or two today, was just going to stare at her script in quiet dismay.

She'd get to saying her lines eventually. Really.

[And totally open for anyone to work with.]

Jack ran through his lines, a bit woodenly, as if he'd not read the script in the past few days. Really, who gets excited about clothes?

[open until 2est!]

Bastiana had just overheard Mia and Vedette speaking of Baldovino and of course she cannot believe what she's just heard.

Amber, as Bastiana came forward after the two departed and declared with a loud voice though hushed as though she were afraid of being overheard, or perhaps caught. Her cheeks were also flushed at the knowledge, perhaps her pride being wounded as well.

"What fire is in mine ears? Can this be true? Stand I condemn'd for pride and scorn so much? Contempt, farewell! and maiden pride, adieu! No glory lives behind the back of such. And, Baldovino, love on; I will requite thee,
Taming my wild heart to thy loving hand: If thou dost love, my kindness shall incite thee to bind our loves up in a holy band for others say thou dost deserve, and I believe it better than reportingly."

[Free for any kind of interaction.]

After he'd done his scenes, G'Kar took a seat and watched his fellow cast members, occasionally making notes on his script copy.

Hinata settled herself, slightly off to the side, and flipped through her new copy of the script, biting her lip a bit as she reread her lines. She had them memorized, but as the weeks of rehearsal went on she got more worried about the actual performance.

Sitting....sitting was good. Cal was going to do a lot of that, with his crutches laid beside him while he gave his shins a few little, tentative massages. They were still sore as hell, and bruised like crazy, but he had that strange fascinating with bruises where, sometime,s you just couldn't help yourself in touching them and seeing how much they hurt...

Jack was off to the side, rereading his parts, murmuring the words to himself as he read.

Amber sat down by herself, script in her lap. She noticed Cal and his crutches but didn't really have anything good to say about that so she just decided that it would be best if she didn't say anything at all. Instead, she bent over her script and read it again. And then again after that.

And then there would be Cal, trying to see if the two of them were sitting close enough that his crutch could reach to nudge Amber's side. Preferably without her noticing, but it was hard to be stealthy when it came to crutches, poking or otherwise.
