The Boards - Rehearsal - Tuesday, 9/30
He hadn't had much of a weekend, other than his usual slinking around his theatre, working on ideas for the production. A part of him was wanting to dress it up since they had some funds to spare, but another part of him loved the bare-bones production style regardless of how much money they had. It made the actors work harder and as far as he was concerned, that work was worth a lot more than quality sets and costumes. That said, no one had ever really hurt for having a little help and this wasn't anything particularly deep. It was as deep as a comedy could go, really, especially an amateur production, but...
He sighed and opened the door.
He'd have to talk to Tony about it.

Answer enough, really.
Re: Rehearsal
"You know, Mia's not exactly calm and collected about all this either. The 'blush of youth' isn't always a fun thing."

"I t-think if it were l-life or d-death I c-could give o-orders," she said, "b-but I u-usually am the o-one offering a s-suggestion f-from the s-side."
It worked well enough for her team.
Re: Rehearsal
"She has a plan, yes. But do you see how she's going about it? She's not going right up to her cousin and telling her about how Baldovino loves her, is she? It's more like... a suggestion. From the side. She's saying things so that they're heard, so that they're spoken, even if neither of them realize it's true.
"But she's not telling her. She's not making her listen. Is she? And no matter what she said, Bastiana doesn't have to believe it or do anything about it, does she?"

But she also thought of Kurenai-sensei and how she said orders but they never made Hinata want to cringe the way her family's did.
"I w-will try," she said, though it wasn't simple at all, and forced herself to stand straight.
Re: Rehearsal
"You said you could do it if you had to," he reminded her, "so the potential is there. Don't forget that, okay?"
He was trying to be encouraging.
Re: Rehearsal
She didn't say that, though. It might be to him, and who was she to judge? Konoha had odder.
"I'll t-try it n-now," she said bravely, though she glanced sideways at him, "if you w-would..."
There was no way she was going to be able to act with him so close to her.
Re: Rehearsal
Either way, he stepped off the stage and sat down in the audience area in one of the chairs set up.
Re: Rehearsal
Remember, she thought, you're just speaking to Hoshi.
"G-Good Fabrizia, r-run thee to the p-parlor;" that was no good, she knew it, Mia wouldn't stutter to her ladies-in-waiting, another deep breath and a moment to picture Kurenai-sensei's bearing then she went on, "There shalt thou find my cousin B-Bastiana..."
Better. Possibly too mild, even for Mia, but the stutter was less and she took heart for that as she continued on, doing her best not to stutter though both 'Cecilio' and 'Vedette' tripped her up.
"Against that power that bred it: there will s-she hide her," and Hinata felt that, here, Mia would be somewhat less ordering and more warning and beseeching all at once. Have this happen, but have them not find out... "To l-listen our purpose. This is thy office; Bear t-thee well in it and leave us alone."
Re: Rehearsal
Good. Better than he'd expected by now.
