"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" Dinah was peering down into a mass of seething, purring, squirming kittens, and trying to discern an individual kitten in all that mess. "What do you think?"

The kitten kept determinedly stalking, albeit not quite catching Prince Oscar Pedro, with a little detour to check in on Dinah and make sure she was watching her stalk. Then she went back to her hunting. With a detour to stare up at Chad, blue eyes wide.

"I hope they like her. And she likes them. They're going to be in such close quarters most of the time."

I flustered Teddy came in not too long after she said that, trying very hard to keep a hold on Galliano. It was like keeping a hold of a greased water balloon.

A hairy greased water balloon at that.

"Hey," Chad lifted his hand and then, without saying much else (he was pretty sure Dinah would say enough in just a second, anyway), he nodded toward where Prince Oscar Pedro was leading the little lilac-point around the petstore for Teddy to check out.

"Hi!" Dinah said, waving, and giving Galliano a very worried look. "I'm Dinah. Teddy, right?" She grinned. "What do you think your cat will think of that little girl?" she asked, pointing at the lilac-point who was trying to grab Prince Oscar Pedro's tail again, and missing.

Dinah had barely said this when the new kitten had spun around, sensing something. "MEW." Back off, buddy. I'm the stalker! Not the stalkee! She tried to bat at Galliano's nose, mrrrring loudly.

Galliano appeared to Not Care.

Galliano promptly flopped on her, trying to groom her fur. Badly.

"He might need supervision," Teddy said, watching to make sure nothing went wrong.

Supervision was about to show up in Chad going over and hoisting up the giant Galliano and slinging half of him over his shoulder.

Hey, he just wanted to make sure he didn't end up eating the new kitten before they even decided on her.

The new kitten gave a "Mrrrrrttttt?!" and stared up at Chad and Galliano, shocked. Then she bounced back on her feet and raced over to Dinah, flopping on her back in front of her and meowing piteously. Pick me up! I'm traumatized!

"You're fine, you silly," Dinah cooed, picking her up anyway. "Awwwww."

"Mrrrrr!" The kitten turned over in her hands, and growled over at Galliano.
