Tyler and Ghanima were both there early today, waiting for everyone to arrive.

"Good evening," she started, looking around the space. "Welcome back, and we're back to our randomly assigned pairs."

"Miss Dinah Lance and Miss Claire Bennet. Mr. Jono Starsmore and Miss Lulu. Jedi Tahiri and Miss Fa Mulan. If you do not already know each other, please introduce yourselves. You are partners for your fights this evening."

Tyler just rolled his eyes at Ghani's formality. "Jen, grab Blysse. Katarn and Hathaway, Mayor Summers and Blue Girl. Go to it."

Claire was hoping she'd get called for a fight while she stretched.

When she finally was, she was not quite as happy about the idea given that she was going to be fighting her roommate. Eep.

This was still so weirdly neat and organized after the kind of fighting she'd been doing . . . wow, only a few days ago. This still wasn't a bad thing, but it was definitely a mental adjustment to make, from the mats and assigned pairs to the one-on-one thing to having the luxury of warming up first.

Which she was going to enjoy, thank you.

And there was a Deadpool there. Also, as you do.

Though he was looking at the treadmills as if to contemplate making a music video. Damn those catchy lyrics. He'd have his revenge on OK Go someday!

Jack listened to the announcements and hung his head a little. At least he'd be able to scope out the other fighters for when it was his turn.

There was a little relief on Dimitri's part that the gym looked mostly normal when he returned for the evening club activities. Even if he didn't have a fight, he settled on a mat to stretch out and try not to look to pleased with how his week was shaping up.

The fight announcements reminded Kyle that he still owed the tall guy, Dimitri, a fight. In the meantime, he didn't mind showing another teenager a few things.

Rose was not looking forward to a fight today, but it wasn't like she was going to turn it down, and once her name was called, she stretched carefully/

Jennifer had shown up as just her normal self. But when she found out she was going to have to fight, well... she definitely couldn't fight as plain old Jennifer Walters.

So people were going to get a bit of a spectacle as Jennifer concentrated and let out a bit of a scream as her muscles and tissue and bones transformed, causing her to grow and bulk up. Her exercise outfit was thankfully stretchy, but it was a little bit snug on her now.

Dinah was stretching, getting ready and considering who might be called, and glad that she got a fight when she did-- although having it be Claire meant she'd have to be careful.

Kennedy was a little disappointed that she hadn't gotten called for a match, yeah, and sighing a bit over how that just cued up her Watcher's voice in her head asking her how long it was going to be before the lesson in getting used to minor disappointments would finally sink in.

If she got lucky, she'd get a pickup spar in, and if not, well... she could just go over and work out or something, right?

Harper looked pretty cheerful as she went through her stretching.

Hoshi was mildly disappointed that she didn't get picked for a fight today, since it would have given her a distraction from worrying about how Annja was doing on her mission.

Bruce arrived, but he didn't seem huge on mingling, big surprise.

Mostly he was studying the fighters, seeing how they fought just in case he ever had to fight them.

Mulan stretched while waiting for the fight announcements, and grinned slightly when she heard her name.

Today, Ghanima is teaching various Judo throws and other self-defense maneuvers to anyone who wants to learn.

Jack was trying to pay attention to this judo thing. He could throw people pretty far, and this seems like he could throw 'em farther!

Let's get ready to rumble...

Jack Burton was ready to take on anyone. Or any two people. Heck, he could take on the world! ~~Until he got hit in his glass jaw.~~

Tyler sipped from a bottle of water as he kept an eye on the fights.
