Stark Industries, Tuesday

Spock arrived at work promptly on Tuesday and set about his tasks, except for when he had to leave to attend his workshop. After said workshop, however, he returned and was soon hard at work again.

Stark Industries? Open.

MCA Lobby, Tuesday 7/6

Getting Nicky used to the whole daycare thing was tricky, since Cally wasn't sticking to a set schedule of when she was actually available in the apartment builing lobby. She knew she had to work on that, for his sake. He wasn't exactly the happiest camper over there, or so she heard from the workers each time she picked him up after work.

She might just have to build some things here in the lobby, to keep him occupied and close, instead.

So the MCA landlady is behind the counter/desk, doodling idle blueprints (as much as you can call doodles blueprints) of various cribs and playpens. She'd happily talk to anyone who stopped by, of course.

[ooc: OCD free, open post!]

Pixie Dust; Tuesday [ 07/06 ].

So far, Ariel had been finding the magazines at the store to be a wonderful resource, and today was no exception. Fascinating as all the pictures were, she did, every so often, come across an article that had to be read, as well. The one that had her particularly enraptured and interested today seemed to have just been calling out to her, full of great timing and extreme relevance.

Are you trying too hard?, the headline postulated, and Ariel considered this even after reading that far. She flipped immediately to the full article and started to read to get quite a perspective that suggested she was going about this whole kiss thing completely wrong! Of course nothing was going to happen if she was actively throwing herself into things. Love only really happened when you weren't expecting it, sos he had to stop expecting it, be more aloof, and wait for the kiss to come to her, not the other way around.

It was severely different from the way Ariel was used to do things, but these Cosmo or Glamour or whatever magazine it was people knew their stuff, right? And it's not like her method had been working out for her. So it was definitely something Ariel, while tending the shop on yet another Tuesday, was going to think about.

She still put the sign in the window, though. She figured it took all of two seconds to put it there, which meant it wasn't really effort. It wasn't as if that had been working, anyway, either.

HAPPY TUESDAY!!!
Free kisses today with every purchase!

Pixie Dust is open!

[[ and so is the post! ]]

Book Haven, Tuesday

It was a cleaning sort of day—not that the store particularly needed it (nothing more than a quick sweep and dust, really) but Hinata was in the mood to do more than just the surface cleaning and that would be why, today, Book Haven smelt a great deal like cleaner.

She left the door open, content to keep an eye on Yei (who was stalking the dust bunnies Hinata's cleaning was rousing) and work.

Book Haven is Open.

Covent Garden Flowers, Tuesday

Ino would be lying if she said that her head didn't hurt from several conversations that she'd had in the last few days. On one hand, she had to admit that it was keeping her busy which was… better than the alternative, on the other… part of her felt bad about wanting to stay busy so that she didn't have to think about things.

It was a peculiar situation, she decided, silently rearranging some of the displays as the radio played softly. No singing today, no.

Covent Garden Flowers

MHA Lobby | Tuesday | July 6

It was going to be another hot one today. Loki could tell that when he'd woken up and just felt the sticky heat in the air. The air conditioner would be getting a fucking work out today. If it broke, there'd be hell to pay.

Right now, everything was kosher though. The A/C was working and Loki was propped up behind the desk, reading the latest issue of Guns and Ammo. He missed guns.

Trooper Station: Tuesday

Word must have gotten around the animal kingdom yesterday about the mediating powers of the police force in Fandom as there were two bunnies sitting on top of Gibbs's desk today. The dispute appeared to be over the custody over a carrot which the first bunny claimed to own and was stolen from her. The second bunny claimed that he had found the carrot left unattended and followed the ancient tradition of all species which went along the lines of "Finders keepers. Losers weepers."

Let's see what words of wisdom Gibbs has for these floppy eared creatures.

"GET THE HELL OFF MY DESK!"

Yep. Words to live by.

[Yes, I totally ripped off [livejournal.com profile] colourfulscents. Not feeling guilty either. Open.]

Strokes of Genius [7/6]

It was a happy Paige who was flitting around behind the counter at the art store today. She had the younger version of her big sister in town and she had taken some time this weekend to cut and dye her hair.

So, yes, she wasn't really getting much accomplished but she was there and willing to help anyone who stopped in.

The Arms Hotel Lobby, Tuesday

Mary was feeling pretty sluggish from the heat. It was days like this that she wished the hotel had a pool, but she was too listless to do anything about that today. The only thing she could do was drink plenty of iced tea while fanning herself with her clipboard.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Cafe Fina, Tuesday

Despite the heat, Lion-o was in a pretty good mood. He was helping the staff peel and slice apples, occasionally sneaking an apple for himself.

[Open. No OCD. I ate it for lunch.]

Luke's Diner [Tuesday, July 6th]

Today was the sort of day that challenged even Sookie's skewed tolerance of heat. She practically bolted into the diner after the walk into town -- which took mere minutes, after all -- and cranked the air conditioner even lower. (Today, she supposed, was probably a good day to exercise any personal-cooling unit-boyfriend privileges she might have, once she got back to the dorms.) But for now, she was just going to make sure that no one turned on anything that required heat in this diner.

Today's Specials

Cobb Salad
Cold Pasta with Garlic Sauce
Peach Ice Cream

Luke's was open. And air-conditioned.

Android's Dungeon, Tuesday

"Yeah it was Robert Downy Jr." Tim was telling Neil. "How should I know how to make any money gambling on movie castings? The hell kind of question is that?"

Please interrupt.

Atlas Gym - Tuesday

"What are you doing here?" was the warm welcome Beka received when she made it to the gym that morning. "Today's that bitch's day, isn't it? Is she sick? Did she fall off a ladder and break her neck? I bet she's just faking it, worried that I'm going to Tae Bo chop her right into the clinic."

"I only know the one bitch working here," Beka replied, playing dumb. Though, Beka honestly did not know what a Tae Bo chop was. "Rose asked me to change shifts with her this week."

Jessi instantly deflated at the bad news. "So she didn't break her ankle and won't be here for the next few months?"

"No," Beka glared at Jessi. It didn't have the desired effect as Jessi was clueless when it came to being hexed.

"Too bad. Oh well, this means I'll have more time to perfect my Tae Bo," Jessi tossed her hair over her shoulder and flounced away.

Beka still did not know what a Tae Bo chop was.

[No OCD because... Just because.]

Caritas [Tuesday]

Robin was totally a creature of winter. All Canadians were, she was pretty sure. That was why she was able to go out in the middle of December in a t-shirt and a mini-skirt, eating an ice cream cone if she wanted to.

Summer, to put it succinctly, was not her thing. So it was a melty, cranky Robin who wove her way into the bar, immediately heading to get a glass of water. And then beer. So much beer.
