The Park, Monday Evening
Some would rejoice, others would cry, and a good chunk of Fandom's population would probably wind up with mixed feelings. This portal had brought the children onto the island but two nights ago, and now it had reversed the polarity of the neutron flow returned to take them back.
It floated calmly in the middle of the park's clearing, exuding a soft yellow light. It wouldn't steer the children wrong.
Say your goodbyes, Fandom... for the year.
[[ up early for sp, and open to all. *hands out tissues at the door* ]]

There was something about this that was twisting Bod's stomach up but he merely looked a little sad though nothing too bad. He'd missed the little guy.

"That's a portal!" Dorian declared helpfully, pointing at said floaty glowy thing.

So she was hanging onto Miraya's hand as they headed for the park; she was a great kid-- they both were, and so was Des-- and pretty good at her fighting moves already, even if she did seem to expect Kennedy to be a lot faster than she really was. (That was an interesting detail. She'd be wondering about that one.)
"Make sure to tell us we took care of you, yeah?" she asked the kids.
no subject
Still. The portal was there; it was time. Someday, maybe, she'd see the kids again. She could hope.
"It's a waste of candy," she finished.

"You be on your best behavior, BJ," Fraser instructed him. "And make sure you keep learning as much as you can."

...random, BJ. Random.

"I guess this is goodbye," Andros said quietly.

When she and Chak arrived at the portal, she began with, "I have a couple instructions for you for when you get back home."

She folded her arms. "Is this where we have a touching scene?" she asked. "You talk about what you learned, and I get unexpectedly sentimental, and we reveal we really do care about each other, deep down? Followed by some kind of sappy hug before the supporting character comes back onscreen to spew his catchphrase?"
Vedder wasn't jaded. Jade was veddered.

Lord, he was the worst father ever.
But at least Vedder didn't have any huge freakish cult tattoos or anything, that he knew of. He'd consider that a win.
//Mostly I just learned not to ever let George's friends babysit, I think.//
At least he was honest.

Look, it wasn't like she could make the spoiling worse at this point. And it might distract Seifer from straight-up murdering whoever had let his daughter out of sight long enough that she slipped through a portal and disappeared.

It was his attempt at being nice to the brat. Hopefully, the future he came from would never actually happen, but Squall was trying not to take that out on him.
"You... be good, okay? And... stuff? It's been fun."

No, instead K was just standing towards the back of the group, keeping an eye on everyone and... observing.

"And if you don't come out in your backyard, what do you do?" She tugged on Elena's coat, making sure it was zipped, despite the fact they would hopefully be in TEXAS in a few seconds, and not at all because she was trying to keep her.
