"Feeling sleepy?" she teased, flicking a little glitter at him. "Maybe it's magnetic. Though that doesn't explain why it's on me already...."

"Thank you," Olive said, grinning. "If you see Sparkle and tell him, I think it'd make his night a little." She reached over to straighten his tie -- not that it necessarily needed it, but it was one of those little touches she was allowed and of which she would take advantage. "And so do you. You might even be able to rock the mustache in this." She flicked her gaze up from his tie, adding, "Don't feel inspired, now."

That may have been her whole reason for playing with his tie, yes.

"No, the all-black is hot," she assured him, when her mouth was free to speak again. "Classic. You look like a secret agent. Not the alien kind. Like the 'shaken, not stirred' kind."

"Only if I don't have to come up with a really awful dirty pun name," Olive said thoughtfully. "Though my name does anagram to 'I love pretend shag.' There's probably something there."

She'd gotten curious after she'd pointed out how her first name was 'I love' to Anson that one time.

"Okay, so that's a neat feature of yours," Olive said, raising an eyebrow. "Instant anagrams. I can just do math really fast. Also, 'Coach Varmint' is so what I'm calling you now."

She was serious, too. Look at how she'd stuck to her 'Marsie' guns.

"I'm not sure I can put a price on that," she said lightly. "It's cute! It's a cute thing for me to call you. I don't really do, like, pet names. Coach Varmint is affectionate."

"It doesn't have to be a rat," Olive replied. "It could be like...a hamster. Hamsters are cute. Or a chinchilla!"

Was she helping her case? Probably not.

"Chinchillas are way cuter than this 'pretend shag' business," Olive protested. "Even if...okay mine is sort of more accurate, but whatever. I could make a compelling argument for your being like a chinchilla, if I wanted. I'm just electing not to."

"Hey, you're talking to a non-werewolf lapsed...nothing," Olive replied, shrugging and rubbing at some glitter that was somehow on her shoulder now. "I'm learning about new cultures tonight, apparently. Are the dances usually like this? Should I expect, like, a swamp thing quinceañera for prom?"
