Sushi Station, Thursday Evening

Lydia had been rather...surprised, let's go with surprised by Sushi Station on the Supper Club's previous visit, but she knew what to expect now and she was sure that there was something that had been cooked on the menu. Somewhere. And who knew, maybe she would develop an appreciation for raw fish yet! So she had girded herself and decided it was time for the Supper Club's second visit.

She would be asking some questions before ordering anything this time, that was for sure.

Welcome to Supper Club, everyone! Sushi Station is open!

Sushi Station, Thursday Evening

Miss Skywalker had spoken to Lydia of her fondness for sushi, so on that sterling recommendation she had selected Sushi Station for tonight's meeting of the Supper Club. She thought the little conveyor belt that the plates traveled on was quite charming, though she hadn't had the opportunity yet to examine the food in real detail.

Boy, was she in for a surprise.

She had sent out a handwavey message to the members of Supper Club , letting them know where to come this week, and hoped that word would make it to any new faces who might wish to join them.

Welcome to Supper Club! Sushi Station is open!

Sushi Station, Sunday Night

Friday had been Graham's birthday! Which meant that they needed to celebrate with sushi from the Sushi Station. Sushi for Graham's birthday had been a standing tradition for almost twenty years now, whether they were in the same place or not. Though since they all were this year, the only possible thing to do was call Sushi Station, put in a reservation that would fit all of them, and then send out a message on the old group chat:

Don't ig-nori this message, because it's tamago out for Graham's birthday! So let's roll on down to the Sushi Station to show him how matcha you care! No gifts necessary, just bring your raw enthusiasm and join us for dinner fit for roe-lty and we'll shoyu a good time.

Also, Graham, this message is your birthday present for the NEXT twenty years.

Hopefully that would be enough to bring people out, because Arden had not pummeled her brain for a good half hour coming up with stupid sushi puns for people to skip out on this, dammit!

[And in true Fandom fashion, anyone with a connection to Graham, Arden, or anybody else present is more than welcome!]

Sushi Shop- Wednesday Afternoon

Kurt had a busy day planned. After shenanigans that afternoon Kurt was waiting for Libby so they could go on their lunch date.

He was feeling a little nervous as he stood outside the sushi shop. He hoped this was a good choice for their lunch. Guess he'd find out shortly.

And he most definitely was not pacing a bit as he waited for Libby.

Sushi Station; Thursday After Classes [02/18].

So, Troy was in a little bit of a conundrum. Yesterday's date with Alexis had been great, except for one teeny, tiny, itsy-bitsy little problem at the very end, when the bill finally arrived and Troy discovered that 'MARKET PRICE' was actually very, very expensive.

What market were they shopping at?!?

Either way, even though Troy did have a job now, he literally only worked one day a week, and between Alexis's naturally expensive tastes and Troy's pointing at random things on the menu method of ordering, he did not have the money to cover the dinner, and since it was their first day, he definitely wasn't going to let Alexis know that, so after the bill had arrived, he'd suggested that Alexis go on ahead outside while he 'settled the bill' and then, after a moment and asking where the restroom was, he just...left, and was very, very grateful that Sushi Station was actually pretty close to the north gate of the school grounds at that point.

But then he woke up with his conscious pressing down on him and the fact that things could get a little tricky if he ever planned to use Sushi Station as a possible date spot again (which he may have been fine with, because the food was kind of weird, they didn't even cook some of it, how do you not even cook your food?, but also, it was a small town and the cops around here seemed pretty bored so did he really need that hanging over him?), so he went in the next morning, sans Alexis, so that he could plead his case without coming off as a loser in front of her.

They seemed generally unmoved by his explanation and his promise to pay them back as soon as he could, his boss seemed pretty cool, maybe she'd even give him an advance for something?

The management on duty that day looked at each other, looked at Troy, and then, without another word, one left and returned to shove a mop into his hand.

"Awwww, maaaan," he said, "come on! I'm supposed to actually work my actual job today! How can I pay you back if I miss work?"

By mopping all the floors, apparently. And doing all the dishes. And cleaning the bathrooms. And washing the windows...

And they didn't even ask him to fix the leaky sink in the back or the toilet in the women's room that hadn't been working. He just sort of did it without even thinking about it.

He definitely needed to ask Tisarwat for a raise if he was going to be dating Alexis now. Or at least convince his parents for a bigger allowance, before literally all the restaurants on the island wound up sparkling clean with all their little janitorial problems mysteriously fixed before too long...

[[ mostly establishing, but also quite open for any of your Sushi Station needs ]]

Sushi Station; Wednesday Evening [02/17].

So, this was something that was long overdue, but Troy and Alexis were officially finally going on an official date. Officially. And Alexis had chosen Sushi Station, which could be cool, even if Troy hadn't really had a lot of sushi before, and so long as he never really caught on to the fact that a lot of it was just raw fish and seaweed and rice, it should be just fine.

He was feeling kind of nervous about it, honestly, and he wasn't sure if that was just because he was kind of out of practice with dating or just because Alexis really was a legit top-tier hottie that girls back in Riverside couldn't even get close to reaching.

So then they got to their seat and Troy was looking over the options and realizing that he wasn't sure what most of this stuff was, so this was going to be an adventure, but that was fine, he had a good trick for this sort of thing, because it wasn't exactly a rare occasion when he encountered somethihng he was unfamiliar with but didn't want to make it known that he had no clue.

"So," he ventured, "what's your favorite here?"

[[ for the date, please! Or, well, you can totally use it for your own Sushi Station needs as well, if you want. I'm not your boss. ]]

Sushi Station- Thursday evening

Alexis had secured a date! And Julius was completely adorable, picking her up with flowers, which was so sweet. And sure, maybe the location was a little different than Alexis was used to, which was why the silver sparkles she was wearing was maybe a little much, but she was excited for it either way.

"Have you been here at all yet?" she asked when they arrived.

[For he who is with her, but open for your sushi needs!]

Sushi Station - Thursday Afternoon

After getting a place to stay, Seifer had basically dropped his stuff and then headed out for food. He hadn't eaten much more than vending machine crap since leaving LA, and was pretty damn hungry at this point. After seeing what was still in town, Seifer settled for sushi, because he knew it would be the good stuff.

And hopefully, those conveyor belts were full, because he was probably going to eat his weight in fish today. He might even talk to someone between bites.

[Open post!]

Sushi Station, Wednesday Evening

After he closed up at the shop, Victor ran back to the dorms to get ready for his date with Isabelle. This involved putting extra gel in his hair in a (mostly failed) attempt to get it to stop doing the stupid thing it was currently doing and -- because Isabelle seemed classy that way -- changing into a shirt with buttons and an actual collar.

And now he was rocking back and forth on his heels as he waited in front of the sushi place. Raw fish wasn't normally his first pick, but it seemed like a good night to try new-ish things.

[OOC: Primarily for Isabelle but it is, after all, an open restaurant.]

Sushi station- Saturday afternoon

While Kitty was more than happy to actually feel like herself today, being distracted by hormones meant that she hadn't worried too much about what Logan would think when he got here. And yesterday had involved a surprise meeting with Clint's brother and being checked out by Xavier (never clean again, oh god) and by that point Kitty had remembered that there wasn't really any reason to be nervous when Fandom was just going to throw a few curveballs at you anyway.

"So," Kitty said as they sat down for lunch. "Thoughts so far?"

[For Mr. Snikt, but open!]

Sushi Station, Friday, late Afternoon

SOMEone had forgotten that Wonka's wasn't open on Fridays, so it was a candy-less, grumpy Momoko who was eating her way through all the best plates today and occasionally calling out to the chef for specific sushi.

"Maguro, onegai!"

"Hai!!"

What? Sure she could just ask for 'tuna', but this way made her feel like she was back home.

Besides, the chef totally needed to work on his accent.

*chomp*

"Ojiisan! Motto tako! Tako!"

"Hai HAI!"

[open!]

Sushi Station, Saturday Afternoon

Sometimes, in the middle of a weekend that some might argue is not a weekend at all due to the sheer amount of grueling work in need of attention, alcohol was necessary. Other times, there was too much work to even get around to drinking, and a simple lunch would suffice instead. Today was a sushi day -- not that Sam was ruling out stopping by a bar later on.

Without looking up from her omni-tool once except to hand the clerk her credit chit with an apologetic smile, Sam got herself some lunch, then sat herself at a table facing away from the window so that she could eat as she worked. It wasn't quite Citadel sushi, but it would do.

Sushi Station, Saturday Evening, post-grad

So, this evening Warren had been expecting to grab Karla away for some sort of mutual birthday quality time, especially since his days on the island were numbered, and all.

And then his father had gone and shot those plans all to hell by... being a good father and showing up to see him graduate. So far as Warren saw it, his dad's timing for finally deciding to not suck at parenting could use some work.

And now... Now Warren wasn't completely certain how he had been talked into this, but he was spending the evening of his twentieth birthday sitting in silence, watching raw fish move by on a little conveyor belt, and trying to pay more attention to the humorous attempts of the boyos to figure out the chopsticks than to the very silent old man who was the reason for all of this.

"No, Khary. You probably don't want to just put the green paste in your mouth all in one go."

Awkward birthday dinner, and go.

[For those who know who they are, but the Sushi Station is still open if other people need to get their raw fish fix for the night!]

Sushi Station, Wednesday Evening

Lucrezia had not been on a date before, if one did not count those three-minute ones in the bar the previous weekend. Perhaps her closest equivalent would be when Djem had taken her on a picnic within the courtyard, even if her brothers had been in attendance. Pity that day had ended with Djem's death.

Such thoughts were unwelcome today.

Lucrezia did not know what girls of this era wore on dates. She had a class assignment to find modern clothes, and would endeavor to do so, but not now. Now, she was wearing a fetching silk creation in a pale shade of wintergreen. Bruce had not specified that dates required modern garb; if he had wished to see her in such, he should have said so.

Lucrezia was also glancing over a menu which she did not comprehend.

"Would you believe I have never eaten sushi?" she asked him.

Was it odd to date someone that one had once married, and attempted to kill? It had all been a fever dream, of course. Consider this an experiment, then.

(lucrezia's here for the bat, who was modded with permission, but sushi station is open for all your raw fish needs!)

Sushi Station; Saturday Evening [ 09/04 ].

Shunsui had figured that the vision of Jane-chan when he stopped by her place to pick her up for dinner would be the most beautiful thing of the evening, but in that he was wrong. It was true, of course, that she was easily an epitome of beauty, but Shunsui had seen many beauties in his long life- (and afterlife-)time.

He had yet to see a Sushi Station. And was wondering why it took him so long to discover such a gem of novelty, the little plates of food going about the conveyor belt like dancing delicacies.

"This," he declared, pulling out a chair with a little bow for Jane-chan, "is fabulous &hearts! What a marvelous idea ♥!"

Sushi Station, Friday Evening

Medusa still didn't trust the human food, but a girl had to eat, and she had been told that this 'sushi' was fresh and delicious, which sounded promising. Also, she approved of any time she got to spend with Blackagar, so here she was, eying her surroundings in a vaguely suspicious way.

((For the cousin, but it is of course an open restaurant!))

Sushi Station; Friday Lunchtime [ 06/18 ].

Today was the day that Ariel had decided that she really needed to confront this Aquaman teacher on the issue of his fish being potentially evil and working with sea witches. She wasn't exactly sure how she planned to go about it; not being able to talk was one issue, and the other was the fact that he might think she was crazy.

But, really, Mister Aquaman was surprisingly easy to communicate with. She barely needed to gesture to get a point across and he was properly concerned with the issues she was raising. In fact, things were going to well that they got to 'chatting' about all sorts of interesting things. He promised that he would thoroughly investigate the issue of the evil fish through interrogation when they were returned, and they realized they were both feeling fairly hungry, and perhaps lunch might be on the agenda.

So they hightailed it over to Sushi Station, where the table was soon covered in an assortment of delectable dishes.

"Ariel!" said Aquaman. "You simply must try more of this salmon nigiri! It is outrageous!"

Grinning, Ariel gripped her stomach, rolling her eyes because she just couldn't! She couldn't! She was so stuffed already with the tuna and crab that she couldn't imagine having another bite! In fact, she subtly suggested by shoving the tray of unagi his way, he should really be eating more, too!

"Well, if you insist!" said Aquaman, digging his chopsticks in. "But, really, have the rest of the flounder; that seemed your favorite!"

Oooh. There was more flounder! Don't mind if she did!

Sushi Station, Monday evening

Kate had specifically asked that they didn't go to Il Pollo, so Leto had suggested sushi. Raw fish was still something he found a little odd, but it was the last time he would be able to try it in a long time.

It was also the last time he would have dinner with Kate, at least for a very long time. He picked up the menu.

"What would you like?"

[Leto is here with Kate obviously, but Sushi Station is open for you sushi needs]

Sushi Station- Friday night

No, radio squirrels, this was not a date, as much as Adrian wished it was. He had nothing against Dimitri, despite how easy it was to mess with him, but if he had any opportunity to spend time with Rose, as his guardian or not, he wanted to take it. And if that meant going out to dinner instead of ordering room service, well.

And to his credit, he didn't go all out or anything. He could have sprung for a trip to New York for dinner or something, but did he? No. Admire his restraint, it was rare. Instead he opted for sushi, figuring he could still rack up a good bill and look impressive paying the check.

"This isn't so bad, is it?" he asked with a smirk, going for his chopsticks. Of course he knew how to use them right.

[For the guardian! No, the other one. The chick.]

Sushi Station, Thursday Evening

So, a gremlin attack kinda put a damper on having date number two. Not to mention how they'd eaten the sushi she'd got to surprise Bruce with. Which, um, how rude?

Thank goodness they were all gone now and couldn't interrupt her date.

Or else she'd have to, like, eat a sun or something in frustration. And that went badly with mackerel.

So, there she waited for him to arrive, not at all wondering if maybe... just maybe she could get a glass of wine and be all adult. But that was silly. She was far too responsible to drink. Oh, kid's shows.

[[Jean is there for the goddamn Batman her date, but the place is open for your sushi needs]]
