After a stop at the Perk for coffee and a pumpkin muffin, Isabel opened Pixie Dust on time. She spent some time poking through the racks looking at new arrivals, then took her place behind the counter with a good book.

Another day, another dollar, and, even thought today was inventory day, Turtle was not exactly her usual bouncy self. True, her heachache was gone, and her stomach felt like it might be able to hold food again, but there was still the whole fact that she'd gotten drunk on radio and then threw up in the hallway. She was giving the liquor section of the store a lot of dirty looks and vowing to never, ever touch the stuff again.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Grape Judas, Judas Priest, Water

Turtle & Canary is open.

Anders was in a distracted sort of mood as he opened the bar tonight, and set up with his laptop as soon as he'd gotten the zombies taped up, with a minimum of tape for once.

In between practice catches of olives and cocktail onions in glasses, he was looking through a list of movies.

No reason, really . . .

[OOC: Uninspired post tonight, and just about nonexistent pings until I get off work tonight, as we're packing everything up to move the office to a new location in the morning and it's FREAKING INSANITY AROUND HERE.]

The bedroom offered Adah no solice today; there was, under her bed, in a shoebox, a dead rodent that for its lack of flash and perfectly cleaned bones was making too much noise. She needed a place. Library wouldn't work. The books were louder than the vole. She instead limped, ventured, adventured, into the village. The coffee shop had an atmosphere of someplace you could disappear, so she ducked into there. Besides, she could get some tea, a luxury she hadn't even realized she missed because she never drank tea before, and they had large, comfortable armchairs that suited the shape of her curling. There she was, then, writing, gritirw, a notebook, one of many, balanced carefully on the arm of her chair. Her left hand was positioned awkwardly, which meant it was comfortable for her, and not at all disturbing her neat, orderly script.

Sean opened the store on time as usual despite his mun completely forgetting and took up a position behind the front counter.

There was still a sign in the window.

Neil was whistling as he came through the door and into the Nest. He had a couple books on camping tucked under his arm for later reading, as soon as he'd cleaned the place up!

Just because one wanted to plan a quiet weekend getaway in the woods with a boy one was all sorts of levels of gushy over, didn't mean that one shirked one's duties!

Particularly in Lucifer's establishment!

Leo lounged crosslegged on the merry go round, a tupperware container of brownies on hand.

He sighed contentedly, but kinda wished there was someone to share the brownies with.

[ooc: come share the brownies]

There was an ant crawling across the counter.

Sokka was staring at it intently.

It had started at one end, crept a few feet along, and examined a breadcrumb closely. Then it almost climbed over the edge once or twice.

It was waving its antennae around all funny-like. Sokka wondered why it did that. It was probably just trying to get attention.

Sokka watched it some more.

Oh, boy. Exciting day at the post office today.
