Another day, another chance to make money. Not that she needed it -- she was still on salary with Benicio, after all -- but it was a nice opportunity to get out of her room and do something constructive... as opposed to the times she got out when she wasn't working, where she tended to get up to whatever mischief she damn well felt like it.

Today she was sitting behind the counter and working on a status update to send to her boss that was a little more substantial than "Everything's fine. Go away now." She'd sent him that one once and he hadn't been amused. It'd been just about worth it, though.

Today's Squishy flavors: Banana Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Mischief Marshmallow.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was once again at the counter, feet up as she read a magazine. But she figured it was her reward today for mediating a fight between Apu and the Squishy machine. No, she didn't know why he'd been fighting with an inanimate object; she didn't think she wanted to know.

Today's Squishy flavors: Blue Raspberry, Strawberry Banana, Cherry.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a moderately day for Hope, which counted as restocking what could possibly amount to half of all the things and cleaning up a spill or two before the morning had barely even started. One was her fault, one was someone else's fault. She thought. Or else the gremlins were trying to help her work again. She hated when they did that.

But eventually she got things done and was able to take her place behind the counter with a magazine, though this time with her feet not up on the counter.

Today's Squishy flavors: Raspberry, Green Apple, Cotton Candy.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was glad to see that it so far wasn't going to be a repeat of the previous weekend. She hadn't really thought it would be, but with as wacky as Fandom was? You never knew what it'd decide to do to you.

She was behind the counter with a magazine, sipping idly from a Squishy. She'd done everything she had to do -- which today had amounted to cleaning up a spill, restocking a few things, and cleaning the display case windows -- and now she could be reasonably lazy until customers came in.

Today's Squishy flavors: Cotton Candy, Blueberry, Banana.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was spending her day in a different manner than she usually spent her work days. Instead of sitting behind the counter with a magazine, she was... helpfully telling Apu how to coax out a gremlin -- or what she thought was one, anyway -- from behind a display while sitting behind the counter with a magazine. She wasn't actually reading, though she had been before she'd seen the gremlin dart behind the display.

"Maybe if we leave it alone, it'll go away..." she suggested, unhelpfully.

Today's Squishy flavors: Gremlin Green, Confusion Cotton Candy, Blue Raspberry.

[OCD-free due to a case of the busy!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, so Hope was at work. Not doing anything terribly work-related, of course, but there at work nonetheless.

She sat behind the counter, reading a magazine and ignoring Apu's prattling about... whatever it was he was prattling on about.

Today's Squishy flavors: Cotton Candy, Banana, Blue Raspberry.

[OCD-free as the OCD is currently helping me rearrange my room.]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a typical day for Hope, which meant cleaning up a mess or three, restocking some stuff, and sitting behind the counter with a magazine while simultaneously annoying Apu.

Mostly the last bit. Hey, girl needed a hobby, after all.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Productivity Pink, Blue Raspberry, Orange Dreamsicle.

(OCD-free due to lateness going up!)
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was another easy day at the store, which for Hope meant a quick tidying up of the store, praying gratefully that there'd yet to be any major messes, and then sitting behind the counter with a magazine.

And because she knew it annoyed Apu, she had her feet on the counter. Just because she was feeling contrary that way.

Today's Squishy flavors: Procrastination Peach, Grape Judas, Blueberry.

[OCD-free today due to mun having a case of the busy]
[identity profile] catchmeifyoucan.livejournal.com
Frank considered himself a pretty responsible employee most of the time. He made sure things were tidy and organized, he was friendly and polite to all the customers, he never messed up the register except that one time and he was really really sorry about it, and above all, he was professional at all times.

So if anyone spotted him reading a comic book instead of keeping an eye on the store during his shift today, it was totally a trick of the light.

Really.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, which meant Hope was at work. She'd never think of not showing up, even if she was feeling rather discontent lately. She understood responsibilities, damn it.

Well, that and she liked annoying Apu. It was kind of a hobby, really. She was good at it, too.

But for the moment, she was content to leave him alone and page through yet another magazine.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Productivity Pink, Contentment Cantaloupe, Blue Raspberry.

[Flying OCD-free today!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, which meant Hope was at work. She was remarkably consistent that way. Also consistent was the way that yet again, she sat behind the counter with her feet up on the counter and a magazine in her lap.

What? She'd done the restocking and the tidying and all the other stuff she had to do. Now she just had to wait for customers.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Productivity Pineapple, Blue Raspberry, Cherry.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a usual day for Hope, which meant first some cleaning and then sitting behind the counter with a magazine, all while irritating Apu because that was always good for entertaining herself with for a little while.

But today she was also avoiding repeated phone calls from her mother. She'd already given the "No, Mother, I'm not leaving Fandom just because you want me to, I like it here, if I leave it's because I want to" speech a couple times, so now it was on to ignoring phone calls.

Such a cheerful day.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Annoyance Apple, Frustration Fruit, Brusque Banana.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope's idea of productivity was making sure everything on the shelves looked nice and tidy and then sitting behind the counter with a magazine. To be fair, this was just about always her idea of productivity.

Hey, it worked for her.

Today's Squishy flavors: Bubblegum, Blue Raspberry, Cherry.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was bored, which explained why everything in the store had been cleaned or straightened to within an inch of its life, so to speak. Now, though, she was sitting behind the counter with a magazine and attempting to do the crossword puzzle she'd found in it. Entertainment-themed, but still. Something to do was something to do.

Today's Squishy flavors: Blue Raspberry, Grape Judas, Red.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was having a productive day -- she'd put things away, she'd cleaned up a couple messes, and she'd even managed to have a conversation with Apu that didn't result in him looking at her like she was crazy.

She was pretty sure that last one was the bigger accomplishment.

Today's Squishy flavors: Accomplishment Apple, Mint, Banana.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a lazy day for Hope. She'd done the cleaning thing -- including mopping up a spill from someone being an idiot with a jug of milk -- and now she was behind the counter with a magazine.

Apu kept glaring at her, but she was ignoring him and propping her feet up on the counter anyway.

Today's Squishy flavors: Orange, Blue, Pink Grapefruit.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was in a productive mood, for a definition of productive that meant "I'm going to clean and tidy every single thing in the blasted place."

At least, she was until she dropped something and made a mess, and then she was just cleaning it up.

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity Pink, Bubble Gum, Banana.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a very much not productive day for Hope. She was sitting behind the counter with a magazine, feet up on the counter and a half-consumed Squishy sitting by her feet.

She'd done the tidying and restocking and now all she needed to do was... well... nothing. Sitting around and being lazy for the win!

Today's Squishy flavors: Lazy lemon, Red raspberry, Green.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was having a bad day, which meant everything in the damn store was getting cleaned and polished to within an inch of its life.

This might explain why Apu was on top of the Squishy machine. Hope was scary when she got into a mood like this.

Today's Squishy flavors: Bad Mood Banana, Blue, Brownie.

(Yeah, again with the OCD-free!)
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a productive day for Hope. Productive meaning she'd cleaned the place enough to get on Apu's nerves before settling behind the counter with a magazine.

Now she was sitting there, reading, feet up on the counter specifically because she knew it annoyed him.

What? It was an "annoy Apu" kind of day. She was in a good mood for the first time in positively days.

Today's Squishy flavors: Blue, Banana, Apple Pie.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope didn't want to be at work today, but she figured that going to work was better than sitting around her hotel room and worrying about things she couldn't change. Instead, she could sit around the store and worry about things she couldn't change.

Well, at least it was a change of scenery.

Besides, she couldn't very well leave Apu in charge. She did that, she'd likely come back to find the place completely redecorated in the worst color scheme known to man just to annoy her and the others.

And so she was behind the counter, looking restless.

Today's Squishy flavors: Banana, Blue, Cotton Candy.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Another Friday, another day of Hope in the shop with a magazine.

She was nothing if not predictable sometimes.

Though really, she was just too lazy to attempt cleaning the place at the moment. Maybe later.

Today's Squishy flavors: Lazy Lemon, Blue, Orange.

[OCD-free today!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a typical day, Hope behind the counter with a magazine and Apu just looking at her and periodically shaking his head.

Every so often she'd wad up a napkin and throw it at him, just to entertain herself a little.

It was a typical day, and it was a good day.

Today's Squishy flavors: Lazy, Content, Blue.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, so Hope was at work.

But seeing as it was Parents Weekend, she was making an attempt at looking polite and courteous and downright busy, instead of her usual "behind the counter with a magazine".

Apu was just muttering at her.

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity, Grape Judas, Just Blue.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was a lazy day for Hope. Okay, so every day was a lazy day, but today especially. This would explain her rather meandering cleaning of the store as she wandered with a cup of coffee in one hand.

But hey, at least she was working, that was her theory.

Finally, though, she settled down behind the counter with her coffee and sat.

Today's Squishy flavors: Coffee, Red, Happy.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, therefore Hope was at work. She was up to her usual tricks, which meant cleaning things and then annoying Apu.

Mostly annoying Apu.

Well, annoying Apu and texting people. Occasionally at the same time. She could multitask like nobody's business sometimes.

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity, Pink, Salmon.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It hadn't been a particularly busy day, which suited Hope just fine. It'd given her time to do a proper cleaning of the place. Of course, that'd only made Apu start muttering at her and retreat into the coolers to stock.

Once she'd finished sweeping behind the counter, Hope put the broom and dustpan away and plopped down on the chair behind the counter.

Let the unproductivity commence!

Today's Squishy flavors: Boredom, Blue, Banana.

[Flying OCD-free due to my packing like a packing thing.]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was apparently Hope's turn to annoy Apu, given the way he was glaring at her. Of course, the fact that she was busy polishing the Squishy machine could've had something to do with that.

Hey, she was bored and there were only so many times you could tidy the shelves or the coolers before that got boring.

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity Pink, Grape Judas, Boredom Blue.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope had the cold of doom or something, which was why she'd doped herself up on cold meds before gamely going in to work. As long as she kept busy, she felt pretty much okay, which explained why every single shelf had been tidied and organized and why every single surface was freshly mopped or wiped or otherwise cleaned.

At least her cold was good for something!
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope had a headache the size of Ohio. She was also being thinky, which made the headache even worse.

Solution?

CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!

This would be why Apu was sitting on top of the Squishy machine in hopes that she didn't try and clean him, too.

[Method RP is method -- minus the cleaning. Flying OCD-free today because I'm a rebel.]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope had been doing a lot of thinking lately, about a lot of things. She wasn't sure what had prompted it, or even if anything had. This was probably why she was so glad it was her day at the shop -- because when she was there, she had to focus on everything but thinking about her own stuff.

Okay, so really she was just annoying Apu by throwing spitballs at him. (Mature, she was not.) It still counted!

Well, okay, no. But it was fun, dammit.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, therefore Hope was at work. Not necessarily doing a whole lot, unless spontaneously rearranging the magazine rack and giving the vendors a fit when they eventually saw it counted, but still. At work. That had to count for something.

Also? Yay, new students! They were kind of fun to see. She was so easily amused.

Today's Squishy flavors: Contentment, Productivity, Blue.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was glad she didn't have any visitors coming. Mostly because she wasn't entirely sure who would qualify to visit her. And because she was afraid the island would've done something like invite Karl which, no. Just no.

But here she was, free of Karl or any other annoyances. Well, besides Apu. But he didn't count. He was always there to annoy her.

She grabbed a piece of cardboard and a marker, scribbling a sign and putting it up in the window.

Discount!
50% off if you have visitors!
(75% if they're really traumatizing ones)

If the boss didn't like it, he could take it up with her later. She didn't think he'd mind much, though.

Today's Squishy flavors: Flail, Panic, Red.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It'd been one of those days for Hope. Not the kind where it was an actual bad day, but the kind where random little things happened that made you want to flail and hit your head against something.

Which was why it was a relief by the time she got to work. At least there if something went wrong, she could blame Apu.

And oh yes, she would blame Apu.

Today's Squishy flavors: Red, Orange, Boredom.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, therefore there was a Hope. Same old, same old.

Right down to her sitting behind the counter with her feet up on it as she read a magazine and was just bored in general. She needed to call Ashley soon or something.

She'd be grateful for anybody who came in. Anybody at all.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Unmotivated, Blue, Grape Judas.

[OCD-free today!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was not a good day for Hope, largely because she had the largest headache known to mankind. She was slowly working her way through A: a bottle of advil and B: a really big thermos of coffee.

If Apu tried anything, she'd slap him, so help her.

She settled behind the counter and prayed for a quiet day.

Today's Squishy flavors: Orange, Green, Red.

[OCD-free -- minus the coffee, this is totally method RP today]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, which meant Hope was at work.

However, she wasn't entirely up to her usual. She was sitting behind the counter and making an admirable attempt at looking like a responsible employee.

Apu, however, was laughing at her. So she was throwing things at him when his back was turned. So much for responsibility.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, orange, red.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was feeling listless and she wasn't quite sure why. The island provided more than enough chaos for her to feed on, so that wasn't it. But beyond that, she wasn't sure. Maybe the fact that she didn't have a whole lot of friends on the island? Could be. But whatever it was, it was driving her crazy.

Which would probably be why the store was sparkling clean. When all else fails, clean.

Hope's last act was to mop the floors; that done, she plopped behind the counter with a Squishy.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Accomplished, Confusion, Orange.

[OCD has gotten lost in my closet.]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
It was Friday, therefore Hope was at work.

Not quite as common was the massive productivity. She'd restocked everything that needed to be restocked, mopped the floors, and cleaned all the glass in the place. Now she was behind the counter, looking all adult and professional and responsible.

Clearly it was a "Hope is feeling motivated" kind of day.

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity, cheerful, orange.

[Flying OCD-free today!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope's dirty laundry had tried to keep her in her hotel room. Luckily she didn't have much in the way of dirty laundry, so she'd been able to get past it easily enough, even if she was afraid to actually go back after her shift.

Things were quiet... except for Apu's mumbling about wearing dirty work clothes.

"You know where the Febreeze is," Hope said tiredly as he complained yet again. "Go douse yourself in a bottle or two. I'll even pay for it."

This was going to be a long day.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Busy Hope was busy.

Okay, so she was busy cleaning every surface in the store, but still. Busy was busy. It counted!

Today's Squishy flavors: Productivity, Grape Judas, Green.

[Flying OCD-free]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope had spent most of the previous day avoiding the stupid singing flowers. It hadn't worked.

So she was in a less than cheerful mood as she opened the store. Apu was back to trying to hide on top of the Squishy machine.

Just another day.

Today's Squishy flavors: Annoyance, Blue, Red.

[OCD-free today!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
If Hope was working, it must be Friday. At least this week it didn't involve Apu hiding on top of the Squishy machine again. It'd taken her forever to coax him down the last time.

No, today just involved lots and lots and lots of stocking and rearranging things and putting up a new display that took her entirely too long considering the actual amount of effort it needed.

All in all, normal day. For Fandom's variety of it, anyway.

Today's Squishy flavors: Orange, Blue, Red.
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was torn between being happy about the incoming newbies and sad that one of her few friends on the island had left. As such, she was busying herself with a time-honored tradition.

No, not insulting Apu. The other time-honored tradition.

Cleaning like her life depended on it.

Which would probably be why Apu was attempting to hide on top of the squishy machine.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Sorrow, Blue.

[Flying OCD free and up late due to extreme acts of napping.]

Caritas [Tuesday]

[identity profile] canadianpopstar.livejournal.com
While Robin wasn't exactly ready to drink herself into oblivion after the weekend, or anything -- it hadn't been that bad, though now there were other people who knew that she was RJ -- she was still wary when she wandered into the bar. Tino, after all, might have seen little-her when she was in bossing Adrian around.

Tino, however, was already busy at work stocking things and whistling, in an alarmingly good mood. Which just made Robin all the more suspicious.

Caritas was open, and the bartender was on her guard.

Ashley was actually pretty unaware that anything unusual had happened over the weekend. She'd had a really nice date with Oz on Saturday and spent the majority of Sunday holed up in her apartment.

Of course, that meant she was ready for a good workout when she got to work on Monday morning.

The Park [afternoon]

Saturday, April 24th, 2010 01:09 pm
[identity profile] nojesusfreak.livejournal.com
After tearing through his house like a kid on a sugar high (which, well, he had been), Biff finally discovered Outside.

"Let's play Stone the Adulteress!" he cried to whoever was around before gathering up some rocks.

Children's games two thousand years ago were odd.

[OOC: So very open.]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
Hope was exhausted and she didn't know why. So she was choosing to go through cups of coffee like it was going out of style, since sleeping behind the counter was probably bad form.

Plus she didn't trust Apu to not put stuff in her hair. She'd woken up with twigs and berries in there the last time! God, Apu was weird.

At the moment, she was going through the shelves and pulling everything that'd expired.

[Flying OCD-free!]
[identity profile] feedsonchaos.livejournal.com
By now, Hope had moved on from missing her kids -- yeah, both of them, even that little monster Gabriel -- but that didn't mean she wasn't still thinking about them, as was evident from the picture of the two kids that she'd slapped up on the side of the Squishy machine.

She'd just like to see Apu try and take it down.

And so it was a Hope in a vaguely cheerful mood that was bustling around the store, tidying up and restocking and taking care of spills and everything else she had to do.

[Flying OCD-free!]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah and K-Mart had decided that taking the kidlets outside for awhile would be a very good idea.

They gathered up everyone and headed out to the beach. The way the girls thought, the beach would give plenty of room for running and playing...

...and maybe Storm and Alice-Claire would burn off some of that energy that they seemed to have an unending supply of.

"Can we call Daddy?" Storm demanded.

"In a little bit," Savannah promised. "He's probably not awake yet."

Unlike Savannah and K-Mart, who had been awake since four a.m. Johnny should be very grateful that Savannah loved him too much to wake him up at that ungodly hour.

"Storm, no magic in the water!"

She doubted that either of the girls would listen to her on that. She sighed and looked at LJ. "LJ?"

He grinned, already moving after the two girls. "Don't worry, Aunt Savannah. I'll keep an eye on my sisters."

Savannah and K-Mart collapsed on the sand after spreading out towels and blankets. It was probably going to be a very long day.
