Alice wasn't sure what to make of the fact that for an entire week, she hadn't existed in Fandom. The question of whether she'd existed at all in that universe was at the back of her mind, but she refused to let it any further along in her thoughts than that. She had her work to do, thank you very much. She could dwell and angst some other time -- and she probably would. Cullens were good at that. It was damn near a skill.

For now, though, she was bustling around the shop, tidying up and unpacking a few boxes. It was a slow day, which she'd pretty much expected.

Today was very much an "unpack all the things" kind of day at the shop, but Alice didn't mind. It gave her something to do that wasn't sitting and waiting for customers to need help.

Once she finished unpacking, she promptly moved on to rearranging a display that just didn't look right to her. The display wound up halfway across the store, but she knew that Arya and Annja wouldn't mind. They gave her pretty much free reign, which she appreciated.

Arya opened up the store, giving it a once over before settling in behind the counter to check on their lists of inventory. Everything seemed to be in order, but it never hurt to double check.

She was extremely pleased at how well Alice was taking care of the place, during her shifts. She made a note to reach out to her later. For now, though, Arya was content to sit behind the counter and relax.

It was a peaceful day at the shop, which meant that Alice had plucked a book from the shelves and was sitting behind the counter, reading it contently.

She probably should've been working on her plans for what she was going to do when she went home, but she figured she had weeks to get there anyway, she might as well enjoy this moment while it lasted.

It was a lazy day, which meant that Alice was sitting behind the counter and texting, every so often glancing up to look around the shop.

She liked easy days like this, she really did. Though she did need to talk to her bosses at some point, next time she saw them, but that was nothing that couldn't be taken care of later on.

Alice perched lightly on her stool behind the counter, a frown on her face. She'd seen something in Annja's future when Annja had come in for a bit to take care of some paperwork. She'd seen Annja comforting an upset Sean and an equally upset Savannah.

But she wasn't going to say anything to Annja, since Annja had seemed more like she didn't want to talk. She'd come in, done her business, and left.

Which meant that Alice was sitting perched on her stool and musing thoughtfully.

Well, she was still employed, so Alice figured that her reorganizing the files in the office hadn't been a problem.

She put away a few cases of things from the small shipment that'd arrived the day before and then settled down in a chair with a book.

Alice had a busy morning, cleaning up the mess from a knocked over display and then switching out a couple displays and then reorganizing the files in the office...

... okay, so maybe that last one was because she was starting to get bored. She'd made things more efficient, so hopefully Arya and Annja wouldn't get too terribly mad with her. She'd hate to lose her job before the summer was over.

Once she was finally done with that, though, she sat out in the main shop and watched the customers.

Alice was in a cheerful mood as she arrived at work, doing a quick tidy of the shop before taking her seat.

She had yet to have a proper conversation with either of her bosses -- the most conversation they'd had had been Arya hiring her -- but she wasn't worried. She knew there'd be actual conversation soon, courtesy of what she'd seen.

Alice was excited for her new job. For one thing, it kept her in Fandom just a little while longer. For another, it gave her a chance to meet people she might not have ordinarily met.

As soon as she got in, she checked on everything to make sure the inventory was set and everything else was prepped and ready. As soon as that was done, she began randomly roaming the shop just to explore.

Arya opened up Coyote Medicine, expecting a quiet day. She was surprised to find a group of gremlins suddenly in the store, singing 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' at her. It was kind of cute, in a weird way.

As long as they didn't try to bite her, she was find with them hanging out and singing during her shift.

Arya opened up the shop somewhat early, cleaning and checking the stock in the back room. Once she was satisfied that the shop was clean, Arya set out the Halloween decorations. She was tempted to put out candy but decided that could wait until Monday.

Arya would have had to be blind not to notice something odd was going on with the island. She'd resisted jumping into the green tubes, though she was curious where they might take her. Instead, she opened up the shop and wondered if she needed to prepare the store for any creatures that might pass by.

Arya was happy to find that everything seemed to be back to normal and the store was in one piece. All was right with the world.

She'd found bags of appropriately themed holiday candy and placed a bunch in a bowl, set out on the front counter. She placed a small sign next to it that read: 'Free candy. Feel free to take as much or as little as you desire.'

Arya was back in the shop today, moving things around and just going all out on a cleaning spree. She'd missed opening it last week due to ~~her mun forgetting, oops~~ unforeseen problems back home.

Things had been resolved, at least for the moment, and the cleaning of the store was a much needed distraction. Some might that call it stress relief. She was even considering putting up Christmas decorations, what with her festive Santa hat that had a habit of reappearing no matter how many times she took it off.

It was going to be a long day.

Arya was relieved to find the store was still standing when she arrived. She'd heard the radio last night and wasn't taking any chances, hence why she had her sword (and a few other weapons hidden) on her.

She'd taken a few of those cockroaches on her way in and would occasionally look out the store window to see if anything else was near her store. Arya wasn't against defending it, if need be. She wasn't sure the sign was needed today but she decided to put it up anyway, if only to provide a small sense of normalcy.

Annja was in an extremely good mood today. In fact she couldn't seem to stop smiling no matter what she was doing. (Said doing included working on decipering that journal from Chriquiri now that Sean didn't flail every time he saw it because of the condition she had been in when he had come after her.) The good mood might have something to do with the new set of house keys that were now in her pocket.

She was sitting behind the desk in the back office working on that and making calls since she and Arya needed some extra displays what with the new merchandise that had come in last time she placed an inventory order. The door to the office was open so she could see and hear people coming and going, and would therefore be able to help them.

Putting in one of the Medicine Woman CDs, Annja began unpacking boxes and shelving the new items for the store. There were a few new items that they'd have to put together displays for, but she was sure she and Arya would have that under control.
