After handwavily getting in touch with his mentorees, Deadpool headed down to the gym to wait for them to arrive. He bounced as he waited.

Yesterday had been non-existent, not to mention weird, and he was eager to get some nice relaxing fighting in. Punching people always made him feel better.

It wasn't too early, but it was still a bit early when Cally hit the roof, a small bag over her shoulder.

She wasn't supposed to bring much with her. Besides, most of her baggage these days was emotional. It was time to wait for the Raptor.

...it was going to be a long two weeks.

Fred opened the shop a little late today, due to the fact that he had been up all night working on his most recent special order. He finally had it down, though. Puck followed him to the door as he propped it open and peered out around the corner (if slinkies could peer, and I say they do). Fred frowned at Puck.

"You know the rule--you need to be on your leash if you're going outside. We can go out later." Puck wagged (if slinkies could wag, and again, I say they can) hopefully and slinked back into the shop.

Fred laid out the mat, as ususal.

After sleeping all day, Chad thought maybe he should do something today. To keep things...balanced, or something like that. And taking a walk around town was definately something, if not much. But something was all he needed. Walking helped with the thinking thing, and he was feeling strangely introspective today.

He paused for a bit, lowering himself carefully onto a park bench. He leaned forward, back arching, looking out over the area, elbows on his knees. Classes starting tomorrow; a full semester somewhere completed without having to move again. It looked like he might actually stay here; but then again, he thought the same things about Karakura...

Fred opened the shop, having decided to pretend--despite the darkness--that it was actually afternoon. That, or he was opening really, really early Sunday morning.

He laid out the mat, as usual.

Chad picked up the phone. "Empire Records, open 'til midnight," he greeted. Then paused.

A really long pause.

"Midnight." Click.

Hey, Chad actually remembered to go to work today, unlike, uh, Monday. He'd been here Monday, really. In spirit, anyway.

[[ empire's open...and has always been in this comm. Really.]]

By some miracle of the heavens above, Alphonse was not on the school grounds, but probably because he was trying to avoid it. Avoiding was good, because he was pretty sure last night's events would easily spill into today's as well if he was easily found.

No one would expect him out here. Really.

Alphonse normally didn't drink much coffee, but at least he knew the stuff was pretty good. So, caffeinated drinks it was.

Piper was very grateful when Weevil opened Caritas extra early so she could decorate and set up for Veronica's surprise party.

She was also relieved when Tino informed her that Veronica would be late. Not that she was going to have to work anyway. It's her birthday party after all.

Weevil arrives and immediately checks on the band. He's grateful they're all intact today. After making sure the bar is stocked, he opens the doors.

After yesterday, Luke realized that he needed reinforcements. He still hadn't exactly told Lorelai the truth about where all the small children had come from because he didn't need her totally freaking out over Rory and all the kids he had seen yesterday seemed perfectly fine.

But with it being his turn to host the Sunday Brunch, he wasn't taking any chances on dealing with all those small people alone, so Lorelai was with him, setting up an arts & crafts center in one corner of the diner.

The Menu Board

Omelet Station (with all the *handwavy* fixings)
Pancakes - regular, blueberry & chocolate chip
Belgian Waffles
Scrambled Eggs
Home Fries
Fresh Fruit
An assortment of muffins, donuts, and bagels

The music is playing, the City Hall is still aglow, and some of the streamers are still up. The DVD players are still projecting 3D images of the cities. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere, including the students.

[ooc: Post is currently closed. open. Wait for the music though. We are good to go! Move at your own pace through the two posts and have fun!]

Tex reclined in her seat and looked out of the window. The snow was gone now and it seemed town was safe from snow monsters. She kinda wished it had been zombies because that sounded a lot more dangerous than water based monsters. If she was a type to admit things, Tex might say that she was a little impressed by how good the kids up at the school had managed to stay alive. She wasn't however and just hoped that the mountie and the girl with plaids remembered to return her weapons or things might have to get ugly. But not as ugly as The Grunt sitting across the street wearing a maroon scarf.

There's a new sign:

Shooting range with moving targets:
$25 per hour

With the snow that came with the storm, Michael wasn't sure it was even worth opening. The sign says it is, but he's not expecting a big influx of people. Which is good, because he's still trying to sort out the paperwork for the store.

Togusa wandered down the halls and finally got out to where his Tachikoma was. "Turn off the optics. Time to take you for a spin." A squeal of excitement came from nowhere and the mini tank revealed itself.

"Togusa! Your head's been noisy! Hello, Walter!" The tank rolled around Walter for a second, then looked over Pippi. "Hi. You want to joyride too! I'll make sure you're all safe! Trust me! What is your name?"

Togusa patted the think tank affectionatly. "Okay, pop your hood." The tank complied, and Togusa hopped in, this time not bothering with one wire, but leaning back into the seat and plugging in all four of his wires. Leaning back down, he was completely connected to the tachikoma. "Alright, hop in. It's a little crowded, but be thankful these guys have good cushioning."

"Togusa! Your head is noisy!" He rolled his eyes.

It was a fine night for walking, Granny thought. Crisp, cool air with a nice sprinkling of snow. The city had been a bit rowdy as of late, but that was to be expected of cities. Part of natural selection. Cities'd fill up with people if they didn't constantly kill each other off. 'Course, no sane person would mess with a witch, so it weren't like she was in any danger.

Granny settled down on a bench and straightened her hat. She sensed some unusual life in the pond, but politely turned her mind away. Weren't proper to be poking around in the heads of things. 'Least, not without good cause.
