It would be difficult to explain the past hour outside of Caritas. Suffice it to say, there were regrets, laser blasts, and several gremlins who owed Doctor Doom their lives since he spared them. Nevertheless, he had something to deal with now.

As Doom strode into the lounge at Caritas just before 8 PM, a second Doom - identical to the first in every way, except that he was a robot - walked onto the stage.

"ASK NO QUESTIONS!" the Doombot ordered. "BEGIN YOUR DATES, AS PAIRED TOGETHER BY DOOM!"

Apparently rounds tonight would be determined by the Doombot yelling at you. Good to know!

[OOC: Three minutes = ten comments total, five per person. You don't need to do your threads chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself.

Epic OCD is beginning. For the love of god, please wait until I'm done. UP. Play on, my friends Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] throughaphase for the assist!

If I made a blatant mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix. Remember, attacks on your dates will get you teleported elsewhere on the island.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.

A regular post-dates Caritas post will go up Saturday afternoon.]

As it turned out, conventions were super easy to organize when you had the power to make everything happen, so guess what you had to deal with today, Fandom! That's right, overnight the community center had been taken over by as many NPC fans of Fandom High that could possibly fit in it, and everyone was so happy to be able to mingle with other fans, or share fan art, or buy merchanise, because oh yes, there was merchandise.

Not to worry, though, Fandom: the original six fans were the only ones who could make anything happen to you. So at least you only had to worry about six people ruining your lives! Bright side!

So come one, come all, and see whether or not you got creeped out by people wearing shirts with your face on them!

Halloween was over, Thanksgiving was drawing near, which meant only one thing. Cordelia was working on her list for Christmas. Or rather, lists. There were three columns on the screen, labeled 'Must Have', 'Would Like', 'Don't EVER Buy Me This'. So far, the last column was twice the size of the other two combined.

The shop was giving her lots of great ideas for the first two columns though.

Okay, so she was late. Call it fashionably late, or whatever. Elena was going to help herself to some of the absinthe behind the counter -- which had a lovely kick to it -- and then convince herself to buy that one dress she'd been eying. She did have a totally-not-a-date-dammit this weekend ...

(OCD-free and open and whatnot)

Danielle had found the schedule for the day written on the calendar, but had no idea why she had to work at a place called Pixie Dust. Maybe it was one of those publicity things that the event coordinator was always setting up. Whatever the reason, she was there, dressed in a bikini top and tight blue jeans, and finding all the skimpiest skirts and tops to try on later.

Now, if the paparazzi or the camera crew would just get here already.

It had been a rather uneventful weekend, which was truly weird for Cordelia's memories of Halloween. And it was beginning to be an uneventful week. Not even the new shipment of winter tights to mock and burn could make this week eventful.

Pixie Dust is open for all your tight mocking needs.

Cordelia was still in a good mood, and she bounced around the shop, humming along with the music as she worked on some winter displays and paired up some cute outfits for the racks. She'd even brought along extra goodies from her bake-craze the night before.

Pixie Dust is open.

Fall Break had been a great time for Cordelia. Time spent at the spa, by the pool and shopping had put her in a great mood this week, and she was more than happy to be back at work. And there was lots of pretty costume jewelry for her to look through.

Cordelia had opened the store today, but not in her usual cheery manner. Not even shoes and accessories could lift her spirits today.

No, today she was sipping at a glass of ...something from below the counter, while drafting an email to Oz from her world. She figured he should know just what his girlfriend and that moron Xander was doing behind his back.

Barney was smart and had purposefully blocked all outgoing mail from Fandom to his New York City (sorry, no luck for you, Robin) and so could blissfully oversee the gathering of guests, students, teachers, and townies happening in the park. The day was bright and sunny, regardless of what any weather reports might claim.

The Student Council had done a nice job getting things together to greet the visitors. A wide variety of sumptuous food was spread out on long tables at one end of the park. In the center were plenty of comfortable blue and gold tables and chairs perfect for sitting, chatting, and eating. To the other end of he park was the registration table where visitors could sign in and pickup their name tags.

Just above the registration area was a gaudy banner announcing the start of a calm and relaxing weekend. Okay, a weekend where Barney got a lot of popcorn to listen to radio.
Welcome to Parents' Weekend 2009!

The fall line of boots had come in, and Cordelia was being a very good employee and putting them out on display.

Of course, she was trying on a few while she was at it, but what sort of salesperson would she be if she couldn't give an informed opinion about the products they were selling?
[identity profile] formermayqueen.livejournal.com
Cordelia really was working. Properly accessorizing outfits was very hard work. And so was deciding what needed to be put in the back room for the boss to decide what to set on fire. She was still a little shocked that they did that here, but she felt so much better when she opened a box with plaid vests.

Who the hell wore plaid vests anymore?

[sorry so late, work ate my life]

Cordelia was more than a little excited about her first day of work. Yes, it was a job, something she had sworn never to have, but Daddy couldn't send her as much for an allowance, and the clothes...

She was probably spending more time planning future outfits than working on the class work she had brought with her today.

"I am never, ever drinking again," Buffy promised the world. She was cradling her head in her hands. Next to her on the counter was a glass of water and a cup of very black coffee. Buffy? Was very, very hungover.

And the Magic Box was open.

After a day that she had started out nervous about teaching her first workshop had ended in surprise to see her big sister Prue as her student, Phoebe was a little distracted as she got to work that night.

She got the zombies taped up and then took up a place behind the bar.

Maybe she could get Tino to play quarters with her again.

{{OOC: AFK for a few to run some errands. So SP or Mod Tino if in a hurry}}

Edmund is not behind the counter. He is upstairs with a cold washcloth over his eyes.

Baldrick, however, is available to ring up your items and help you find things in the midst of his so-called organizational system.

[ooc: Blackadder-mun is sick. I'll probably be back for interaction later because I want to distract myself from my misery, but please, feel free to just mod Baldrick to over- and/or undercharge you as much as you want. I am now in. Up to you as to whether you wish to interact with the stinky guy or ask for the testy guy.]
