After her morning class, Jenny headed down into town to open Pixie Dust, kind of proud of herself for actually remembering for once. A model employee, she was not. But she did take the time to make sure everything was in order and well-displayed before plunking herself down behind the counter and hitting up the pixie's booze stash. Perk of the job, you know.

After her class, Kaylee scampered in and brightly opened the shop, and instead of finding something to tinker with, she was reading a book on Australia.

What? She didn't think some of these critters were actually real, that's all.

Ella took Pento to work with her. At first the parrot was confined to his cage, but he looked so sad that she soon let him out out.

After an unfortunate incident with the kitchen staff that almost lead to parrot fricassee being added to the menu, she made every effort to confine him to the front of the diner. He seemed happy enough, hopping along the counter and occasionally demanding snacks from his indulgent owner.

Work! She had to go to work today. Looked like she'd be bringing along the chocobo who was masquerading as her boyfriend. Wait, that should be the other way around, right?

The upside was that this was definitely some prime blackmail material, right here.

Hopefully his actors would put in a good second performances and even more hopefully, they wouldn't completely lack an audience this time. Second performance was occasionally a letdown, depending on certain factors, and the small size of the island was definitely one of those factors.

He wondered if he should have made it two performances each of the two weeks, but eh. Nothing he could do now.

The Banksy exhibit was winding down, which meant Eve was starting to wonder what was going to be next. She knew Charlotte was planning it out but hadn't actually said anything yet.

Barney was holed up in the manager's office today doing some research online about Australia. It didn't escape his notice that he was spending far too much of his time working on this project so he balanced it out with some downloading.

Logan wouldn't mind porn on his computer. He was a dude.

The world seemed a little...surreal to Chad today, although he couldn't explain it. Like he'd been a little disconnected with it. Like he'd missed a few days. Like that was a big chunk of it that seemed to have passed by without notice...

...but then Chad remembered that there was going to be another kitten over the weekend. And he forgot alllllll about everything else.

Until he started thinking about it again.

It was a repetitive kind of thing. Kind of like a record. And that? Was deep.

Unfortunately for Jen (or fortunately, depending on how you looked at it), she'd discovered a book on police procedures from the mid-twentieth century and hadn't been able to put it down since yesterday; she was leaning against the counter at the pizza parlor, nose buried in the book and hardly paying attention to a thing around her.

She hadn't paid attention to the fact that she came into work ~~only~~ an hour late ~~honest!~~, either -- she'd be ashamed of herself later, when she realized that.

Satisfied with the feeding grounds here, the land shark probably had decided it was time to go when it started getting repeat meals.

Which was why as soon as it was nicely fed, it simply walked out of town to migrate elsewhere.

Bridge... is a few minutes late to work today, because it's apparently "take your suddenly weetiny fiance to work" day and that meant getting ready took a bit longer than usual. RIC is also along because- well, because kids and dogs are usually a good mix. Even robot dogs, yes.

Curious to see if his boss is also a kid today, Bridge settles in to work. Well, okay, he's supervising Xander and RIC, so there's technically not a lot of *settling* at all. Stark Industries is open, though.
