Ben decided to crash at his store (Seriously, he came from the dead with a store. He would bet cash money that no X-Man ever returned from the dead with a store. Maybe it came with being a clone.) last night before getting an early start on things this morning. He figured that would be easier than randomly wandering around in the middle of the night for a place to stay when he didn't even have a wallet, let alone any money that he could take out of said imaginary wallet. When Ben woke up this morning, he decided to take a quick tour of the town. It was tiny, but it seemed to have a lot of interesting stuff. When he found the bank, he stopped in on a hunch and discovered that he had a checking account there with some money in it. Not a lot, but enough to get him started out with a new life here. Whoever brought him here was thorough, at least.

So now he could afford some coffee. And with some coffee came some information from the barista. He was in Fandom, it was in Maryland, and she just laughed whenever he tried to get more out of her. That seemed like an ominous start to any possible life here. Still, it was something he could work with. He'd never been in Maryland before and he was pretty sure Peter hadn't, either. That made things a little simpler. He could take his time and work things out without having to worry about any awkwardness at all.

All in all, he couldn't complain too much for now, at least.

[OOC: Open for all your Perkly or cloney needs. If you know Peter Parker, mistaking Ben for him or a double is entirely fair game.]

The day was gorgeous - sunny and crisp and cool, but not so cool that people would need coats or sweaters. There were some discrete space heaters set up for those who had chosen not to wear sleeves with their formalwear.

A light breeze was there to lift hair that wasn't pinned or sprayed into position. Birds sang. Chairs were set up, divided by a long center aisle. There was even a small section towards the front with little piles of nuts and bottles of rum - Vala and Barney had both done radio at one time or another, plus it just made sense to make nice to the squirrels.

The wedding party had yet to take their places, so the atmosphere was open and relaxed, if a bit anticipatory.

[ooc: Open to all, but please wait for OCD is now complete!]

Loki still had some Halloween candy left over so you can bet your ass that's what he was eating for breakfast. He never believed in the fucking stupid food pyramid anyway. Life was way too damn short to eat turnips and beets just to keep yourself healthy.

There was a pile of candy on his desk, hiding almost all the paperwork he'd had the pipe dream of completing. What the fuck ever. Candy was better.

It happened every year, without fail, so one would think that Turtle would learn better, but noooo.

Every day, following Halloween, it was as inevitable as the sun coming up. The toothache. The horrible, horrible tooth ache that made Turtle wonder how something as small as one of her teeth could ache so much. It was figure, of course, that she'd have to be at work, too, so she was behind the counter, a small heat pad to the side of her jaw, slumped rather miserably.

Hurley opened up the shop, feeling pretty good about himself. He played Rush's Moving Pictures album to keep himself occupied today, while he stood behind the counter.

It was going to be a good day, he felt.

Now that the holiday was over, Charlotte was right back to work, bouncing around the town that Saturday to put up posters for the next exhibit starting next Wednesday.

New Exhibit! )

So Jen had attempted to carve a pumpkin yesterday. Never having done it before, she got a little too ambitious, and didn't realize that you couldn't sculpt a pumpkin like marble or clay (not that she'd ever done that either).

The practical upshot of all this was that Jen looked incredibly sleepy at work today, and there was a tray of fresh homemade pumpkin muffins on the counter.

If you valued your life you wouldn't avail yourself of the free muffin offer. The roasted pumpkin seeds were probably safe, though.

Viki, in the end, had opted not to go out last night and found herself well content with that. It was not, after all, as if she lacked for candy.

Because that, of all things, was easily obtained the day after Hallowe’en and Viki settled in to nibble on it.

The phones were ringing a lot today at the station. Some people were complaining about attacking balloons while others had something against the clowns. As far as Roy could tell, both were gone however and the files would end up in its usual Fandom Weirdness category.

Once he got through them all.

[[Open, but I might be spotty later on as we're having visitors.]]

It happened again.

"Rico, what the hell is up with this bar and the hot female bartenders never showing up?" Chuck asked. He was holding his and Blair's fake spawn with one hand by it's foot and was waving it around with every sentence he said. "You know what? Don't answer. Just move the hell aside."

Tino obliged easily but started making plans to kill Chuck in his head. The guy totally deserved it.

The ceremony had been beautiful. And the evening was only getting started. The guests were ushered into the large tent that had been erected (hee) in the park earlier in the day. The caterers had delivered and set up food and enough free alcohol to drink the entire town into a coma.

Of course, there was a special area reserved for the squirrels with dessert nuts and high-quality rum to keep Vala and Barney's smallest guests happy while they took their notes and danced the night away.

Pleased workers did a last check of the tables and cigar centerpieces before the guests and the wedding party arrived. The wedding reception was set to go exactly as planned.

[The reception, like the wedding, is open to everyone in Fandom. Once I put up some OCD Now.]
