Chad and Prince Oscar Pedro and Sir Galliano (because Chad was pretty sure he wanted to come, too), were having a decidedly chill day at Groovy Tunes.

After all, it was in the name.

Groovy.

There was a new toaster at the Trooper Station that Monday. There was also a Daisy feeling quite proud of her contribution to the betterment of the place as a whole, as well as a lot of cupcakes.

A lot of cupcakes, many of which were disappearing at an alarming rate through the mouth of Ralph.

Daisy was still boggling a little over how someone could make so many cupcakes; Ralph's consumption of them wasn't helping either, but she had some antacid tablets as well as a concoction of honey and lemon juice for the almost inevitable onslaught of indigestion.

She had to admit, though, it was a bit fascinating to watch and pulled her attention from her work more than she would have liked.

Worf stood behind the counter as the wokling cooed and crawled around on the floor. If at anytime the furry thing tried to go in a place it did not belong, Worf would glare at it.

But since his glares had no effect, Worf would have to go retrieve the baby ewok and lecture it endlessly only to have the wokling ignore everything he said and do the same thing again ten minutes later.

It was going to be a long day.

It was his turn to take care of Mara the Wokling. Considering his responsibilities at work, that meant Ender had to watch the Ewok. At work. So far, he had succesfully managed to boot up the holographic system to his specifications, but otherwise, he hadn't really gotten any work done.

There wasn't really anywhere safe in the back to leave the Ewok, after all, so his options were limited to the front desk or his lap, and neither of them let him do much. He didn't really mind, though-- taking care of the Ewok had its own draws.

Joan was playing with a shipment of autumn flowers, trying to make festive holiday arrangements.

There was a sign on the front counter: 10% off early Thanksgiving orders.

Liz showed up on time like she always did for her shift, only this time she had a baby Wokling to look after for the day. After she made sure that everything was set up and the specials were out, the majority of her attention was on the Wokling and making sure that he stayed out of trouble.

Seregil opened the Book Haven as usual, then settled down, sorting through the books in the romance section. He'd promised Bob a new load of books and he needed to get to work on that.

The Book Haven was open.

Teddy was glaring at the list of comics for next year, noticing quite a few of his favorites weren't being renewed.

"Oh, c'mon! He's the best Sparrow and now they're canceling his series?" He said to, well, no one. He just needed to whine about this.

And, damn it, he didn't read it regularly, but he had liked Avians of Hunting.

Coyote couldn't think of anything creative to do today had fallen asleep behind the counter, today. The tail of his coyote headdress was draped across his face, and fluttering up and down in time to his snores.

Sokka, being proactive, had ordered for the store a box of "assorted winter garments" which had been an unbelievable BARGAIN. When he opened it, he found out why -- the only "garments" in the box were gloves, and absolutely none of them matched. What was up with THAT???

Oh, well.

Alex opened up the Magic Box on time, armed with a cup of hot chocolate and a pastry from JGOB. Sometimes, she had a bit of a sweet tooth.

She might have been the tiniest bit excited for the holidays that seemed to be just around the corner. That was probably why you would find Alex doing some online shopping. After she'd made sure the displays were all neat and orderly, of course.

The Magic Box was open.

The Gig, Monday

Bender had a paper and a stopwatch and an unexpected shortage of cash. Obviously the reason this gambling thing of his was on a losing streak was not getting the basics right. No bunch of meatbags and their wind up toys was getting the better of Bender.

So. Stopwatch. Clipboard. Persuading the horses they wanted to gallop.

The Gig was open.

He hadn't realised there had been that much paperwork before Robin came along. Still, Cable could handle it with his usual blend of self-control and pragmatism. Yep.

After about an hour of that, he wondered if he was just out of practice, or whether he shouldn't invent some brand of paperwork that could be done by smashing it with something heavy. Privately, he was starting to consider the theory that Fandom had been created as some kind of repository for left-over paper.

He sighed, sliding the latest piece of paper into the inbox, and glanced up at his assistants. "We're going to need some civic improvement programs..."

Dutifully, they went and got him more paperwork. Ah, bureaucracy. He really needed to tackle that problem...

When the kitchen staff came in, shortly after Lacey who was totally on time, honest, someone started cranking the Dixie Chicks.

Lacey, feeling an odd compulsion to move to the beat, was behind the counter doing a really bad line dance out of sync. Really, really bad.

It was a rather quiet, but content, Hinata that was there to open shop today. While she set out cookies and tea, Yei (who’d complained at the top of her voice until Hinata had caved and brought her along) prowled among the shelves and pounced at whatever caught her interest.

For her part, Hinata occupied herself by wandering the store and trying to decide on another book to read.

Ino… had the start of a Christmas list. In the sense that she had about a million people on it and was dubiously considering the fact that, seriously, what on earth was she supposed to get everyone at this rate. Sticking a Catchfly in her hair, and duly amused by the double meaning of it (as it meant both ‘youthful love’ and ‘I fall victim’), Ino smoothed down the over-sized shirt she was wearing (one of Kabuto’s, which was the source of her mood, really) and nibbled on the cap of her pen.

Maybe she’d just be cheap and get everyone flowers? Ino snickered. Only she’d know what they all meant.
