Alex had enjoyed finding chocolate behind doors yesterday. What person didn't like that? Besides people who might be allergic to chocolate, that is.

She opened up the Magic Box, some warm cookies in hand. She'd found some in the common room and she was fairly certain the day couldn't get any better. Alex was liking this Fandom treat.

Alex settled in, knowing she should start shopping for Christmas gifts. There were some items in the Magic Box that she liked and just might snag for her brothers. Working at a magic shop had it perks!

On the way into work, Worf had noticed that his common room had warm cookies and milk available for all to eat. And while "cookies" did not exactly appeal to him he decided that to honor the upcoming human holiday he would also provide food for anyone who dropped by Wellspring Arms.

So anyone who dropped by Wellspring arms would be treated to a nice glass of prune juice and some freshly replicated Rokeg Blood Pie.

YUM!

There hadn't been anything better than waking up to cats who were, well, cats again. He really hoped this was just a one time event. A Galliano with thumbs meant he could mess up his comic book collection even more.

...that was possibly the dorkiest reason ever.

But, when you worked in a comic book shop, order and caring for these kind of things was a good thing. Especially when reading over the latest happenings in one of his favorite books and trying not to headdesk.

Not even the constant sniffling and the going through a box of Kleenex like it was going out of style seemed to be able to keep Daisy from being her usual, brightly determined self that day. She just clung to the warmth of her tea little more than usual, shifting through some paperwork.

[[ open station is open! ]]

Why, yes, Lacey had actually taped the Yule Log show on TV last Tuesday. (Which in and of itself was a minor miracle: not that she'd thought to tape it, but that she'd managed to peel herself away from staring at it long enough to think about working the VCR.) It was directly responsible for her good mood today -- considering she'd brought the TV in this morning and had the tape playing. The picture was a little snowy, thanks to a loose cable on her TV at home, but she just told herself it suited the season.

Lacey was happily humming carols to herself as she laid out a display of elaborately decorated Christmas cookies . . . and non-Christmas holiday cookies, as well. She'd never get away with those back in Dog River.

Not that it would have stopped her from trying.

Chad was extremely glad that things were now back to normal and his cats were cats. He loved Prince Oscar Pedro and Sir Galliano, don't get him wrong. He just liked them a whole lot better as felines that didn't make him feel weird and uncomfortable.

Lazing about the store and enjoying a few games of Chase the CD, it was clear that they prefered their more natural forms as well.

After making sure that the very nice, simple invitations for the very small dinner on Friday went out (everyone at the station, plus the mayor at Dale's request, and for each, a guest), Charlotte made a detour for the coffee shop, for a little treat after getting some fresh air. She was flipping through some travel magazines, all of them, by pure coincidence, honestly, having to do with tropical locales and sunny beaches. She was going to feel very, very wistful when she had to trudge back through the cold to the apartment again when she'd finished her latte.

Coyote totally hadn't noticed any animals on the island turning into people.

He was a nature spirit, the anthropomorphic representation of chaos and coyotes. Animals turning into people and vice versa wasn't really new to him.

Besides, he'd been busy on the mainland, disguising himself as a puppy and getting cuddled by hot girls.

Setting up snacks at the shop was very easy today considering the proliferation of cookies. Seregil settled in behind the counter with a plate of same and nibbled on them as he read a book he'd randomly picked off the shelf.

He was on the phone, of course. From time to time at least: there was some audio running through Cable's laptop in the morning, a live registration of Rumekistan's current debate on cooperation with the EU and long-running environmental and poverty measures.

Things weren't perfect in Barnjov, but at least he was grateful to hear they were still heading out on the right track. They'd need it, if the world was to sustain itself during the coming crisis. At least more people were becoming aware of the dangers of the kind of short-term legislation that was so common nowadays; but anything more, as he knew, took time.

Cable didn't particularly feel like I-told-you-so'ing SHIELD about it. He had a bagel for lunch, and a lot on his mind as the politicians sounded in recess.

Now that he was pretty sure he had a firm grasp of the basics, Ender sat down with the holographic display to get something real in terms of groundwork underway. He made a couple of easy mistakes as the day went on, but all in all, when he closed up, he wouldn't be disappointed in his progress.

He figured it'd be a few months before he was anywhere near completing this project, and that suited him alright.

It was buttass cold out and there was nothing Toby hated more than freezing his nips off. Okay, maybe he hated Lucas more, but that was so not the point.

The hot tub-like Onsen, however, was hot. Toby sank deeply into the churning water, letting it heat him to his core. His damp mane of hair curled in the steam and he sighed, content to pretend he was in the tropics again.

Off to the side lay Toby's things - his towel and swim trunks along with a magazine in case he got bored.

What? Like he was supposed to wear a swim suit in what amounted to a giant jacuzzi tub? Not likely.

There was sadly only so many times a counter could be wiped down without becoming clean, thus making the wiping completely pointless.

Not that Arashi was at that point... yet.

The bar was open, and eveything in it was squeaky clean.

The Gig, Monday

Bender had propped the sign up when he opened the Gig, and after quickly checking on the horses headed over to the forge.

Rooting through the scraps pile, he found a length of copper pipe and started knocking it into shape. He'd come across a book of odd shapes, and began bending the metal into a twisted cube.

Sokka was TOTALLY there on time. Really. This post had always been up.

He brought a little hamster ball with Momo Jr. in it, so he could keep an eye on the little guy. And kept checking to make sure he hadn't turned back into a large man in a nifty shirt.

After a while, Momo Jr. and Liz started playing tag up and down the aisles, and Sokka fell asleep.
