Dani should have been trying to come up for names for the new animal residents, but she was procrastinating with a couple of furniture catalogs. Now that she had a positive cash flow, she had a house to furnish. Besides, she could always delegate the task to her staff.

Before the end of the day, there was a notice posted in The Gig's office.

Pick the winning names for the new animals and you get a raise!

Hurley had headed down to work, just like any other morning.

The part where he'd barely opened the front door to Covent Garden before he'd collapsed on the front stoop and was in a snoring, catatonic sleep, well... that wasn't like any other morning.

The sign in the window read:

Covent Garden Flowers

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

[ooc: OCD first, please Very open!]

The calls had started early in the morning, and the patients had followed shortly after, all with the same problem - people had fallen asleep and couldn't be woken up. It didn't take long for it to become clear that the clinic wouldn't hold everyone - there really were a finite number of rooms in the place - and in quite possibly the only instance of anyone ever being grateful for the plague, it wasn't long before Martha, the nurses, and the town hall staff had figured out how to recreate the emergency clinic in the town hall. Cots were set up, supplies were brought over, and the rest of the clinic staff had been contacted. Now, all they needed was to get everyone rounded up to be taken care of, and to try to figure out what was wrong.

Lordy, what a trip. Rachel was half wondering if the little vacation back home for her birthday wasn't just a terrible idea, if she should have just stayed the heck here where at least she could expect things to be weird instead of just spending what she thought would be a nice visit home with her mother but just wound up being a big pain in her rear end and having her mother constantly pestering her about talking too much.

Well, excuse her, Mother, she couldn't exactly be as creepy and silent as Golden Adah with her fancy medical degree.

Who, by the way, was apparently too busy to come over for cake and ice cream for her big sister's birthday. Rachel didn't seem to care that she was practically immobile right now. Birthdays only came once a year, and how often would it be that they'd be in the same area together? She could have borrowed a wheelchair or something.

Either way, uncaring sisters aside, Rachel was back to the island that morning, throwing her suitcases into her apartment to deal with later, and then settling behind the lobby desk to see if anything happened while she was gone. The building hadn't burnt down, and everything seemed in ship-shop shape to her, so back to business as usual.

Savannah was exhausted and not feeling a hundred percent, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to open the store as usual today. (Even though she knew Sean would have made her stay home if he knew what was going on with her.) She unlocked the door and turned on the sign, and went about prepping the store. Pay no attention to the fact that she seemed to be trying to hide all of the sleeping bags from sight this morning.

Nast's is open.

There was another new shipment of slightly-used merchandise today. Harper went through quickly to see if there was anything good and came up with a red dress with a designer label. It didn't seem like the kind of thing she'd wear in this universe, with the plain solid color and the fact that it was strapless. Still, once it was on a hanger with a price tag, she kept coming back to take another look.

By the end of the day, she'd bought it, even though she had no idea where she could wear it.

Things Reborn was open!

Lindsay felt tired, groggy and couldn't stop yawning. She had fallen asleep twice at work yesterday and when she woke up it was as if she hadn't slept at all.

And for the life of her she couldn't understand why she kept dreaming about having a relationship with Tony and fighting vampires. So freaking weird.

Regardless she poured herself a cup of coffee from the Kwik Stop coffee machine in the hopes that a little more caffiene than usual might help her get through the day as she waited for Ronon to show up.

Hoshi had fought really hard to stay awake throughout the night but had only been moderately successful. She wearily stumbled into the hotel lobby in the morning, not even realizing that she'd shown up on the wrong day until Gunther pointed it out. But he took pity on Hoshi and went to get her some coffee. In the meantime, Hoshi made the mistake of sitting on one of the comfy couches in the seating area and dozed off for a few minutes.

Morgan picked up the phone.

"Hey, Morgan. What's up? How you and Reid doing?"

He hadn't wanted to ask this, but with the dreams he'd been having and the falling asleep for two fricking hours apropos of nothing yesterday (around powertools, no less, he was lucky to have fingers!), he was pretty damn sure it was necessary.

"All right, I guess. But, uh, couple of things have teamed up on me lately, so I was wondering if maybe I could take about a week off. Take some leave."

"Uh... sure, Morgan. Are you all right?"

"Yeah, JJ, I'm cool. The kid's doing fine. I just need a little time to cool off."

"Okay, just... if you need anything, let us know, okay?"

"I know. And, uh, make sure my goddess doesn't worry too much about me." That got a laugh.

"I'm a miracle worker, but that is beyond even me, Morgan. Look after yourself."

After he assured her he would, he put up the sign to open the store for the day.

Murdock was late to work, having overslept. It was odd, as even the alarm clock had been unable to wake him apparently. He knew this because the thing was still going off when he finally woke up.

Houston hadn't been pleased either about missing his morning outside time. Oooops.

Odder still was that despite the oversleeping, he still felt exhausted, as if he'd barely slept at all. Perhaps it was from those odd dreams.

Whatever the cause, he was determined to put it behind him and get on with his day. If he could stay awake, that is.

(no ocd since this is up so late. feel free to catch him napping or not, just indicate in the comments)

Valentine hadn't shown up for her shift at the shop.

Aphrodite didn't know she'd been turned cute and furry why, but with everyone around town dropping into these fits, she could maybe guess.

She'd heard handwavily about the Mayor's announcement for people to come to town hall, and she'd seen a sign about people gathering at the library to do research. The goddess of love was considering her options.

One, town hall, where she could put her non-existent first aid skills to work.

Second, the library. Riiiight.

Or third, she could leave the island. Go back to Cupid's. Or even back to Paris. Ares was still in South America, too busy at the moment to look for her. Why should these mortal concerns become hers? She could go anywhere. Monte Carlo sounded good, or even Las Vegas. . .

Thoughts of Vegas made her think of Mary, and Max, and Dinah. . .

Images of Dinah and Raven collapsing filled her mind, and she took a deep breath.

"Right."

Research had never been something she was good at unless it involved perfumes and incense. So with a determined face she started off towards Town Hall.

She just had to find it first.

(ooc: Establishy but open if anyone wants to run into her and give her directions.)

Arya opened up the store, wondering if there was anything there that might help the situation. She had a feeling she wasn't the only one who'd thought along those lines. She only hoped something would be of use.

Arya decided she'd head to the town hall once her shift ended. Maybe earlier, if she felt she could help.

Chloe was a little late opening the store because she was worried about everything that she was hearing. Of course, the Mayor's announcement earlier had done nothing to make her feel better.

She was in the store, behind the counter, and only wondered once if her powers would be able to help in anyway.

She squelched that thought immediately. There was as much of a likelihood that she'd hurt someone as that she'd help.

Android's Dungeon is open.

CATACLYSM

On one hand, the town was being plagued by strangeness and narcolepsy. But there was also a class assignment where Zayne had to go on a date with a pretty girl. Zayne had absolutely no control over one of these things, so he and Rose were going to see a movie about... the end of the world, apparently.

"At least they didn't show this during the zombie invasion," Zayne said, looking at the marquee curiously.

[OOC: Here for the girl who picked the movie. Otherwise, the theater is open for all of your Aerosmith needs.]

With a flash, two people appeared just outside the doors of JGOB. The taller led the shorter inside, ignoring the wide eyed look of her companion.

"So, cookies, of course. Cupcakes, or donuts?" Aphrodite turned to the other woman. "What's your name, anyway?"

Chuck had heard the radio announcement today and he had handwavily found out just who was in the clinic. He wasn't the type to wait around a hospital and, even if he was, knew that there were certain people who wouldn't want him hanging around. So he was happy to use work as a distraction today and immediately headed for the scotch as soon as he came in.

He wasn't worried, dammit. He just felt like getting drunker than usual.

[Gonna be slow due to BDEness omg]

Agnes was taking the opportunity, while she was at work, to flip through the magic books for sale and see if there was anything that would help with the bizarre dreams everyone was having. She wasn't sure what she was looking for, though, so it was a little hard to find. That, and one of the books escaped its chains and led her on a chase around the store for about a half hour, which wasn't exactly her idea of fun.

And then... well, then she fell asleep in mid-stride and collapsed on the floor. And dreamed.

Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee was the answer. Or so Murdock hoped. He hadn't slept a decent wink, dreaming of weird things.

Maybe he was starting to have an episode? God, he hoped not.

He needed something to distract himself, keep himself awake. Work was the ticket.

Houston tagged along, knowing as animals do, that something was wrong with his owner. If he stuck any closer to Murdock, he'd be glued to his leg.

Murdock shuffled along through the tower, working but slowly. Being this tired, one couldn't be too careful. There would be no touching of power tools today. Maybe some painting. Yah, that was it. Painting.

...what was he doing again? Oh yah. Coffee.

(open, but will go passing out when one in particular tags in)
