Halloween was just over two months away. And there was so very much to do!

He resolved to go see the Mayor- Fandom's mayor, that is- first thing Monday morning, while Oz watched the store.

Hurley wandered into work, and just put the first CD he found into the store stereo system.

Which meant he was playing a mix of MC Frontalot, Parry Gripp, and Jonathon Coulton.

Sadly, some of the humor was lost on him.

Otherwise, Groovy Tunes was open for business!

Ned had a Disneyland trip to attend but that didn't stop him from opening the diner earlier than usual and making faces at the bleary eyed workers. They were so spoiled. They pepped up considerably when Ned told them he was leaving. Ned just hoped they didn't have a party and wreck the place.

It wasn't her usual day to work, but Mary had a ton of paperwork to go through. In particular, she had to go through purchase requests from all the hotel staff and figure out which ones got approved and which ones got denied. It wasn't fun, especially after she had to deny Gunther's request for a new oven and the chef decided to sit at the front desk and glare at her until she changed her mind.

If it wasn't one thing, it was the other, jeez oh man. Rachel was learning the consequences of her ne'er-do-well attitude toward work yesterday. She'd reasoned with herself that she'd done a helluva good job on Wednesday and refused to lift a finger all day yesterday, enjoying her productivity with delicious baked goods that wasn't going to do her a lick of good; she could eat fifty of them and still not have enough hips on her, if you asked her. But then Saturday came around and several of the lights in the lobby seemed to have burnt out. Which meant they needed changing.

It was with a disparaging, world-weary sigh that Rachel realized, without hired help or husband, she had to change the bulbs herself. It was quite a colorful rant that followed, with at least five different sarcastic product slogans thrown in as she went to the Holo...Holo...Holo-Whatever-Ribbed-For-Her-Displeasure had called it to pull out the ladder she had in storage there, kicked off her cute little heels, and climbed her way up to change the bulbs. She hoped she didn't get a nosebleed. She was just so delicate sometimes that such great heights made her a little woozy.

The lights at Wellspring Arms were off, the closed sign was flipped visibly on the door, and a second sign had been pasted to the front door with some duct tape.

Having gotten back to the island late Friday night, Aphrodite was really not prepared to open the store.

She did, however, bring back a couple of worship-- er, sla-- er, friends from a temple in Greece.

That was why, if you were looking for the goddess, you would find her stretched out under the skylight, her headphones on and a water bottle by her side.

If you just want to make a purchase, there's a handsome young man in shorts behind the counter. He will, of course, be oblivious to your ogling.

Decadent Delights is open.

It was She-Ra's first official night opening the bar and so she was right on time. Tino, it seemed, was early and obviously pleased with his new Saturday coworker.

With great enthusiasm, he spent the first five minutes showing She-Ra where things were behind the counter and the next twenty-five minutes knocking stuff on the floor for her to pick up while he stared at her rack.

"We're going to have to call you butterfingers from now on," She-Ra laughed, completely clueless about his klutzy motives.
